Dr. Bott today began shipping its T3 USB Hub, a thumb-sized, three-port USB hub designed for mobility. The T3 is a semi self-powered hub, not requiring an external power supply but providing 500mA of power to devices (versus 100mA that self-powered hubs provided). The T3 Hub is available for US$33.95 in three colors: titanium, ice, and translucent grey. Safety concerns cited for Apple Expo cancellation stem from possible retaliation

Apple’s concern for safety — the reason it cancelled the Paris Apple Expo — stems from risks of a possible US retaliation for last week’s terrorist attacks, according to MacUser UK. “There was great concern that by not knowing when and how the US government would respond, we could be putting people’s lives in jeopardy and leave them stranded in Europe with few options to return home. It just wasn’t worth taking risks,” a source told the magazine.
