Corel announces Corel Graphics Suite 10

Corel today introduced Corel Graphics Suite 10 at Seybold in San Francisco. The new suite of applications — which includes CorelDRAW 10, Corel Photo-Paint 10 and Corel R.A.V.E. — is designed to run on Mac OS X, as well as Mac OS 8.6-9.2. Corel Graphics Suite 10 is available now for a suggested retail price of US$569. Upgrades for users of CorelDRAW 6 and CorelDRAW 8 are US$249. French and German versions will be available in November 2001.

Microsoft XP criticized by consumer groups

Reuters reports that four consumer groups in the United States have accused Microsoft of once again using anti-competitive tactics with the upcoming release of Windows XP — the company’s next-generation operating system. “Activities such as communications, commerce, streaming audio/visual applications, and on-line services are, at the present, vigorously competitive,” the groups said in a statement.

MP3 Rage 3.8 released

VersionTracker notes the release of MP3 Rage 3.8 — an update to the Gnutella/Napster client, MP3 tag editor, player, cataloger and organizer. This release fixes problems with arrow keys skipping selections in the song list, adds support for ISO 9660-compatible renaming, and fixes a bug where years of zero were skipped when cataloging.
