The Mac OS X version of AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), an online chat and messaging client, has been updated. AOL Instant Messenger 4.5.355 offers compatibility with Mac OS 10.1, as well as several other bug fixes.

In Brussels today, ArKaos announced it’s new ArKaos Visualizer 1.5 for iTunes 1.1 for Mac OS 9 and OS X, Soundjam 2.X and Audion 2.X. ArKaos Visualizer is a free plug-in for most major MP3/media players. Its beat matching artificial intelligence synchronizes visual projects created with ArKaos VJ 2.1 and VMP 2.1 with the music. Datalogics today announced the DL Formatter variable print product line for the Mac. DL Formatter allows users to design a template for their 1-to-1 communication using Adobe InDesign or Adobe FrameMaker — DL Formatter merges the variable content with the template to generate a variety of personalized communications.

At the Seybold Conference today in San Francisco, Extensis announced that Suitcase 10 — the latest release of the company’s font management software — will be available for Mac OS X on November 19, 2001. Suitcase for Mac OS X will be available to all registered owners of Suitcase 10 at no additional charge.

Intelli Innovations has announced the release of eMail Alert! 2.8 –an update to the company’s e-mail notification and management software. Version 2.8 adds support for Mac OS 10.1, includes a new “skip” button in the mail status window, as well as a number of other changes and enhancements.
