Maintain has served up Cocktail 7.8 (http://cocktail.maintain.se) Maverick Edition, a new version of its Mac OS X utility that’s compatible with Yosemite. This version adds the ability to clear the hibernate (sleepimage) file and ability to disable hibernate mode. It also contains improvements on the “Clear User caches” procedure.

Cocktail is a general purpose utility for OS X that lets you clean, repair and optimize your Mac. Its features are arranged into five categories that help you manage various aspects of your computer.

iMobie (www.imobie.com/anytrans/) has launched AnyTrans 4.4 for Mac OS X. It’s an update of the iPhone file management utility.

With AnyTrans you can transfer iPhone, iPod music to/from any Mac computer, copy photos, videos and apps between devices and Macs, export SMS messages and even the associated image/audio files and more. Version 4.4 adds a one-click feature for cloning all or selected content between all iDevices and all iOS versions, including the latest iOS 8.3.
