French-based Mac site MacPlus has posted an audio interview with Kevin Browne, head of Microsoft’s Mac Business Unit. The interview, which is in English, discusses Office v.X and compares it to Office XP.

MacSoft has announced that its highly anticipated 3D role-playing game, Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption, has reached golden master status and has been sent off for duplication and packaging; the game is expected to hit store shelves later this month, according to Inside Mac Games.

Willow Design has introduced two new carrying cases: an Apple 17-inch Studio Display Carry Case (US$183) and a 22-inch Cinema Display Carry Case ($250). Both cases feature protection with dual density foams, extra corrugated plastic reinforcement, hardboard bottoms and bi-directional plastic reinforcement for the display side outer wall. The display cases also include contoured and multiple reinforced carry handles, contoured shoulder carry straps and luggage feet.

Apple VP Phil Schiller will deliver a keynote presentation at DV Expo on the subject of Apple’s leadership in DV and emerging Mac OS X DV solutions, according to MacNN. The keynote will be held on December 4 at 14:00 PST. DV Expo is being held in Los Angeles, California, December 4-6; attendees can receive free Expo Only passes through November 27.

Installer Update 1.0 is now available for Mac OS X users through the Software Update control panel. “This update delivers improved support for installing software updates and is required for any future Mac OS X updates.” The file is 664KB; installation does not require a restart.
