In a press release issued Wednesday, NewTech Infosystems announced the introduction of NTI DragonBurn! — its Mac CD-mastering software for CD-RW OEMs and distributors. This is the company’s first foray into the Mac market. NTI DragonBurn! will be available this December to OEMs and distributors.

Aladdin Systems, makers of the popular StuffIt utilities, has announced their financial results for the third quarter ending September 30th. According to an Aladdin press release, the company reported revenue decreased 11 percent to US$1,569,108 and reported a net loss of $(387,102), or $(0.04) per share (basic and diluted), as compared with revenues of $1,753,875 and a net loss of $(438,906), or $(0.04) per share (basic and diluted), in the same period last year.

MacPlay has announced that it plans to ship Sacrifice, a new real-time 3D action/strategy game for OS 8/9 and Mac OS X, on December 8, according to MacNN. In Sacrifice, players take control of a powerful wizard that must control his army of magical minions to combat his foes. Using the life force of fallen creatures as magical energy, your wizard can cast a variety of spells that deliver fatal blows to competing armies.

MacCentral notes that Apple plans to open three more Apple retail stores on Friday, November 23, the day after the U.S. celebrates Thanksgiving and traditionally one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The stores—located in Miami, FL (The Falls); Santa Clara, CA (Valley Fair); and San Diego, CA (Fashion Valley)—will join eighteen Apple retail stores currently open around the U.S.

MacMinute reader William Clarke noticed that Apple recently added a number of additional refurbished products to the Special Deals section of its online Apple Store. A number of new iMacs have been added, including a refurbished 400MHz model that’s priced at US$649, as well as a first-generation Apple AirPort Base Station, priced at $249.
