Other World Computing has released version 2.0 of Ryan Rempel’s Unsupported UtilityX, which allows older, “unsupported” Macs to run Mac OS X. The new version adds support for Mac OS X 10.1, as well as other enhancements. OWC also has plenty of notes for those who wish to run Mac OS X on older Macs.

Intelli Innovations has released ProSQL 1.0, a new local and remote database management tool for MacOS 8/9 and Mac OS X. ProSQL offers users the ability to directly access the tables and data in their mySQL, PostgreSQL, OpenBase, FrontBase, ODBC, ProSQL and REAL databases. The software also allows users to display and search that information and generate reports without requiring any knowledge of SQL query syntax or database engines.
