Willow Design has added a new carrying case to its lineup: the Walmopiztreet G4 Slipcase. Designed for PowerBook G3 users, the simple case offers plenty of protection for the computer with a minimalist design. The case is available in six colors for US$65 (C$98).

4D, Inc. has posted 4D WebMail beta 2, a cross-platform browser plug-in that allows users to check SMTP or POP3 mail from any Web browser. Users can also compose, reply, forward, send, and file mail, while the software itself features an address book, support for attachments, and more.

Steve Jobs’ Macworld Expo keynote on Jan. 7, 2002 will set the stage for the introduction of a consumer product that’s “innovative, revolutionary, and different,” according to Macworld UK. Apple is also quoted as having described the product as “powerful, user-friendly, and eye-catching.” Many suspect this product could be a redesigned iMac.
