Lotus Notes Rnext coming to Mac OS X

Lotus today announced that the next version of Lotus Notes, code-named “Rnext,” will offer advanced support for Mac OS X. The company has promised to deliver the “same key capabilities of the Win32 environment” in the Mac OS X client. Mac OS X support in Lotus Notes will first appear in the next beta version of Rnext, which will be available in Q1 2002. Final name, pricing and ship date for Notes Rnext has not been announced.

REAL Software today >released REALbasic 4, the latest version of its programming environment. Version 4 adds improvements to the IDE, enhancements to the EditField, ListBox, Canvas, Shell and multimedia components, external project items, compiled RbScript and more. The Standard Edition of REALbasic 4 is available for US$149.95, while the Professional Edition sells for $349.95.
