At Macworld Expo this week, Imation (booth #425) will be demonstrating its full line of storage products, including the new FlashGO! flash media reader/writer that supports CompactFlash, Smart Media, MultiMedia Card, Secure Digital, Memory Stick, and IBM’s Microdrive. The product will ship in the first half of 2002. Additionally, the company will once again preview its DataPlay technology, which packs 500MB of removable storage into the size of a quarter.

Proxim today announced that it has added Mac-compatibility to its Skyline 802.11b USB Adapter (US$149), bringing wireless networking capabilities to any Mac with a USB port. Additionally, the company announced that it has added Mac support to its line of Symphony HomeRF networking products, an alternative 10Mbps wireless technology.

Media 100 today announced Media 100 i Version 8 (V8), the first Mac OS X native version of its professional media system. Aside from Mac OS X support, V8 also adds numerous enhancements and improvements to the effects and sound design features of the software. V8 is expected to ship early this summer. Pricing varies depending on configuration, and starts at US$2,995.

Sonnet today announced the Tempo RAID133 PCI controller for Power Mac G3 or G4 systems, which offers hardware RAID striping (Level 0) and transfer speeds of up to 133MB/sec. The card will ship in late January for US$199.95. Additionally, Sonnet announced a $35 mail-in rebate on its Crescendo/PCI G3/G4, Encore/ZIF G3/G4, and Encore/ST G4 Duet upgrades, as well as a $10 mail-in rebate on its Piccolo USB Flash Drive, Tempo ATA100 PCI Host Adapter, and Tango FireWire/USB Combo card.

Roxio has released the final version of Toast 5.1 Titanium for Mac OS X, which is available as a free update to current Toast 5 Titanium users. The software requires Mac OS X 10.1.2 and “should” support all external FireWire CD and DVD recorders and built-in IDE recorders, as well as Mass Storage Compliant USB recorders and Multi Media Command set-supported SCSI recorders.
