Sony today announced two new Clié handhelds: the color PEG-T615C and monocrhome PEG-S360. Both handhelds feature 16MB of internal memory, a USB cradle, infrared ports, and Lithium-ion batteries. The PEG-T615C also features an embedded speaker and will sell for US$400, while the entry-level PEG-S360 will sell for $200.

Palm is poised to unveil its new wireless handheld “very soon,” according to emails sent to some of its customers. “Dear Valued Customer. All we can say is that the newest Palm handheld is coming. Very soon. Stay tuned for more details,” reads the email. Interested individuals can sign up to receive notification when the product is announced.

CE Software, the company behind QuicKeys and QuickMail, today post a fourth-quarter loss of US$468,000 on revenues of $318,000, compared to a loss of $53,000 on revenues of $653,000 in the year-ago quarter. For the fiscal year 2001, the company lost $1.2 million on revenues of $1.5 million.

Don Norman, a professor of computer science at Northwestern University and computer design guru who used to work for Apple in its Advanced Technology Group, gives the new iMac a glowing review in a BBC News story. Norman calls the design “brilliant,” noting that he couldn’t find any flaws with it.
