Pyrogon, Inc., the small game development company founded by former id Software programmer Brian Hook, has released a Mac OS X version of its colorful puzzle game, Candy Cruncher 1.15. Players must move a space around the board to match identical candies into rows and columns, with limited time and immovable black jellybeans to get in the way. Candy Cruncher sells for US$14.95.

EFI today began shipping the eBeam System 3, its newest portable digital whiteboard appliance. The eBeam System 3 allows users to turn any whiteboard into a digital whiteboard, capturing pen strokes to their computer. The USB eBeam System 3, which is similar to mimio, sells for US$749 and is compatible with Mac OS 8/9.
