Adobe plans DVD software, press event

Adobe plans to release a DVD authoring title in 2003, according to Macworld UK, although details are few at this point. In December, Adobe announced that it had licensed Sonic Solutions’ DVD authoring technology, which Sonic employs in its line of authoring products for Windows. On an unrelated note, Adobe will be hosting a “champagne reception” press event on the evening of February 25, according to invites sent out to select members of the media. It’s unknown what announcements the event will bring.

CE Software releases QuickMail 3.0

CE Software today released QuickMail 3.0, a Mac OS X-compatible version of its interoffice email system. Other new features to the client include SMTP authorization support and the ability to view formatted text as plain text, while the server gains streamlined address book distribution and SMTP authorization. QuickMail sells for US$34.95 per copy, with upgrades starting at $7 each.

Disney releases girls adventure game

Disney Interactive today introducedDisney’s YouCan Fly!
