Sony releases new Clie handhelds

Sony today introduced the Clie PEG-NR70V and PEG-NR70 in Japan, two new Palm OS-based handhelds that both feature a flip-up 320×480 color screen, keyboard, integrated digital audio player, and 16MB memory. C|net reports that the display can swivel 180 degrees and be folded down to cover the keyboard, allowing it to be used as a touchscreen. The NR70V also includes an integrated digital camera built into the device’s hinge.

Xdrive Technologies, Inc. has announced that its online storage and file sharing service now offers support for the Mac. Members can access, store, and share their files through an established Xdrive account via any Web browser that is Java enabled. Monthly charges for the Xdrive Plus service range from US$4.95 for 75MB to $49.95 for 1GB.

AppMac software today released mDialog 1.0, a proprietary chat and messaging software package designed to accommodate up to 100 users. The mDialog client is available free of charge, while the server software sells for US$29 (1-10 users), $49 (1-50 users), and $79 (1-100 users).
