Cale, which specializes in unattended payment technology for parking and transit operations, will begin offering secure contactless card readers that accept Apple Pay for its Cale WebTerminal pay stations (CWT) in July.

The technology will be demonstrated next week at the International Parking Institute’s annual convention and trade show in Las Vegas. Cale’s contactless payment option will allow customers to pay using their iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus or Apple Watch.

Ableton (www.ableton.com) has released Live 9.2, an update of the Mac-compatible music production software.

This free update includes refinements to Live’s audio warping engine, the introduction of latency-compensated automation, a new Tuner device, and more. Owners of Push gain the ability to use all 64 pads to play drums, improved aftertouch, and expanded touchstrip implementation. In addition, Max For Live now includes Max 7, the latest, most powerful version of Max.

Solesignal has announced SmartBackup 3.4, an update to their alternative backup and cloning utility for Mac OS X (10.8 or later).

It syncs multiple source items to a destination on an external hard drive, flashdrive or network share. SmartBackup features a 64-bit sync engine built on the latest Apple technologies. Version 3.4 adds an updated sync engine, user interface improvements, bug fixes and more.
