Projector for Mac OS X updated; iPad version in the works

app4Mac has updated Projector (http://www.app4mac.com/projector.html), a Mac OS X app designed to keep track of tasks and calculate a project’s cost, to version 2.0.8. The new version adds an export option to the iCal format and tweaks the user interface.

Projector provides tools for professional project management. It’s designed to help you organize, administer and monitor your tasks.

Projector works with Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6. It costs approximately US$74. All owners of a Projector or xTime Project license can upgrade to Projector 2.0.8 for free.

CS Odessa ships ConceptDraw MindWave

CS Odessa has released MindWave (http://www.conceptdraw.com/en/mindwave), its mind mapping tool for Google Wave. This is a no-charge add-in to Google Wave that can be used as part of Google Wave to map out a strategy or brainstorm on a critical topic.

The ConceptDraw MindWave for Google Wave tool allows teams to collaborate on a mind map in an interactive flowing manner building a map structure that represents the planned work. The map add-in supports Google Wave playback that allows one to step back through a map.

North by Northeast: I’m not ready for a cloudy day yet

“North of Northeast” is a column that offers commentaries from a Canadian perspective. Google’s invested millions in it. Apple’s moving steadily towards it and Microsoft’s Office isn’t far behind.

TrendNet introduces new wireless N gigabit router

TrendNet (http://www.trendnet.com) has launched the US$159.99 450Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router. Three external antennas broadcast on the 2.4GHz spectrum.

Three spatial streams per antenna produce a record 450Mbps theoretical wireless throughput. Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology boosts wireless coverage, signal strength, and throughput speed. The router has one Gigabit Wide Area Network port and four Gigabit Local Area Network ports.
