Valve to deliver Steam and Source on the Mac

Well, it’s official. Valve (http://www.valuesoftware.com) says it will bring Steam, Valve’s gaming service, and Source, Valve’s gaming engine, to the Mac. Steam and Valve’s library of games including Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal, and the Half-Life series will be available in April.

“As we transition from entertainment as a product to entertainment as a service, customers and developers need open, high-quality Internet clients,” says Valve President Gabe Newell, “The Mac is a great platform for entertainment services.”

MusicSkins, Cartoon Network create accessories based on Adult Swim properties

MusicSkins — which makes vinyl skin products for iPods, MP3 players, cell phones, PDAs, laptops and gaming accessories — has entered into a licensing deal with Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the licensing and merchandising arm of Adult Swim, that grants MusicSkins rights to offer skins featuring the artwork from Adult Swim’s portfolio of animated programs.
