Apple looking for iPhone/iPad antenna engineers
Apple is looking to hire iPhone and iPod antenna engineers, according to an “Engadget” report (http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/30/apple-hiring-iphone-antenna-engineers-for-some-reason/). This is almost certainly in regard to an antenna issue causing poor reception and dropped calls.”
Apple has gotten mounting complaints that holding the new iPhone in a certain way can impede signal strength, making it difficult or even impossible to make and maintain calls. The problems seems to be more prone to left-handed iPhone owners.

Verizon iPhone rumors resurface
They’re bacccck. Rumors of an impending Verizon iPhone. “Bloomberg Business” (http://macosg.me/2/gg) quotes “two people familiar with the plans” as saying Verizon Wireless will start carrying the iPhone in January.
Carrying the iPhone will give Verizon a boost in its competition for smartphone customers, UBS AG analyst John Hodulik told “Bloomberg Businessweek.” Verizon customers, who numbered 92.8 million at the end of the first quarter, may buy three million iPhones a quarter, he estimates.
