HyperImage for Snow Leopard now a Tumblr client

KavaSoft has released HyperImage 3.5 (http://www.kavasoft.com/HyperImage/), an update of the US$25 Mac OS X app that lets you download images from web sites. It’s now a full featured Tumblr client.

DiGi launches iPhone 4 in Malaysia

Malaysian communications provider DiGi Telecommunications has launched a new range of tariff plans in the monarchy to accompany the availability in the country of Apple’s iPhone 4, it said, reports “MIS Asia” (http://mis-asia.com/news/articles/digi-launches-iphone-4-in-malaysia-with-new-tariff-plans?).

“We are thrilled to bring iPhone 4 to our customers,” said DiGi head of marketing, Albern Murty. “Malaysians are fast becoming regular users of mobile Internet, and now with iPhone 4, we expect to see a strong upward trend as customers enjoy the features of the new iPhone.”

11.6-inch Apple laptop coming?

Quanta has reportedly landed orders for 11.6-inch MacBooks from Apple, reports “DigiTimes” (http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20100923PD222.html). Shipments of 11.6-inch MacBooks are expected to top 400,000-500,000 units in 2010, the article says.

Quanta is expected to ship a total of 13-13.2 million notebooks in the third quarter, says “DigiTimes.” That’s down 3-5% from 13.7 million units shipped in the second quarter. The company shipped 3.6 million notebooks in July and 4.4 million units in August.
