The Java Developer Journal’s “Reader’s Choice” Awards, which ends May 31, is coming around again. WebObjects 5 is now available for Mac OS X and is up for another award in the “Best Application Server” category — which they have won for the last two years running. You can cast your vote for WebObjects on the WebObjects voting page.

The popular Web log analysis tool Analog has been updated to version 5.0.1. This release includes a few minor bug fixes and new features. Also included are updates to the Italian and German language files.

Microsoft is facing more antitrust allegations, this time in Brazil, reports Siliconvalley.com. The Justice Ministry in Brazil said the company had engaged in antitrust practices and recommended a fine of up to 30 percent of last year’s local sales and ban it for five years from bidding for government contracts.

Metrowerks will distribute “early access” tools for developers at WWDC next week. The software will support Mac OS X’s Mach-O object file format — Mach-O support will let programmers tap and test all Mac OS X-native APIs, including the 2D rendering technology Quartz and the BSD layer underlying the operating system, writes eWeek.
