LaCie has updated their hard disk utility Silverlining Pro to version 6.4.2, replacing versions 6.0, 6.1, 6.2.1, 6.3, 6.3.1, 6.3.2, 6.4 and 6.4.1, according to the Web site. Changes in this release include name changes in the USB/FireWire drivers, a new FireWire/USB bridge firmware update, improved FireWire hard disk drive error recovery, and various other improvements. Palm users signing up for the company’s wireless service were unable to activate their accounts, reports News.com.
