ScheduleOnline released a Mac version of their sync program today. The utility enables Mac users to synchronize their ScheduleOnline Web calendars, reminders, to do lists, and address books with those of Palm OS-based devices, such as Palm Pilots and Visors. ScheduleOnline Sync for Macintosh can be downloaded from the company’s Web site.

VMGEAR announced their plans today to make Optimizeit 4.0 available for Mac OS X. Optimizeit Profiler enables Java technology developers to understand and solve performance issues such as memory leaks, excessive object allocation, inefficient algorithms and unproductive processor use in their Java programs. “Providing support for Mac OS X was a great opportunity for VMGEAR,” said CEO, Gerard Laurent.

Digimarc and the TWAIN Working Group announced support today for Mac OS X with the developer pre-release version of the industry standard TWAIN interface. You know things are getting out of hand when a volunteer site that tracks hacked Web pages can no longer keep up. Attrition.org has announced they will stop tracking the defacement of Web pages because their staff of volunteer workers can no longer keep up with the hackers, reports ZDNet.

AOL has announced today that they will be raising rates to US$23.90 for their monthly unlimited-use plan — an additional $1.95 and the first increase since April 1998. The new rate goes into effect with their July billing cycle.
