Sharp introduces 18-inch LCD

Sharp has begun shipping an 18-inch LCD monitor, the LL-T1810A, according to Macworld UK. The monitor features a contrast ration of 350:1 (identical to Apple’s 17″ Studio Display LCD), offers seven language choices for the onscreen display, and ships with a three-year warranty. The LCD is priced at £1,399; there’s no word on pricing for other countries yet.

Tony Hawk ships for the Mac

Aspyr Media today announced that it has begun shipping Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 for the Mac. The highly anticipated title has won several accolades on the PC and PlayStation side. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 is also among the first games to ship Carbonized for Mac OS X. The game is available for US$39.95.

Iomega updates HipZip firmware

Iomega has posted an update for HipZip, the company’s digital audio player. The newest firmware version, 1.00454, has many fixes including increased sound quality in lower bit rates; playlist Manager update to allow you to highlight and play a song on the list; changes to the playlist order will remain even after the disk is ejected; support for low bit-rate WMA files (16 Kpbs); auto shutdown time change from 30 seconds to 2 minutes; and much more.
