Totally Hip Software today released LiveStage Professional 3, a new version of its interactive QuickTime authoring environment. The new version adds full support for the new features and functionality found in Apple’s QuickTime 5, allowing users to create interactive QuickTime movies and video for the Web, CD, and DVD. The software also provides close integration with Macromedia Flash and Adobe LiveMotion. Among the new features are support for QuickTime 5’s media skins, Flash 4 support, XML support, seventy wired actions, and more.

Bare Bones Software today released BBEdit Lite 6.1, a Carbonized version of its powerful freeware text editor. BBEdit 6.1.1, the commercial version offers countless additional features and options for US$119.
