Mapdiva has updated Ortelius (http://www.mapdiva.com/), its map illustration software for Mac OS X, to version 1.1.The new version offers introduces a professional-level symbol Library Manager and many workflow enhancements.

Ortelius is a vector-based drawing program made especially for (though not limited to) map design and presentation. Through its drag-and-drop interface, Ortelius offers a solution for floor plans, landscape plans, scaled drawings, and a variety of custom maps.

Aquafadas (http://www.aquafadas.com) has updated BannerZest Fun Pics, which enables people to create and share animated slideshows on Facebook. The latest version of the free app lets create and share animated slideshows on their Facebook and on their friends wall.

To use you select a theme, add photos, customize titles and colors and publish to Facebook wall. BannerZest Fun Pics gives its users access to a wide range of themes. When downloading the app, users get one theme and a hundred credits will be credited to their account so that they can go pick their favorite theme for free.

Ambrosia Software has updated Snapz Pro X (http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/utilities/snapzprox/), its screen capture software, to version 2.2.3. The upgrade improves compatibility with newer MacBook models.

It also: addresses issues with display mirroring during movie capture and improvers movie capturing to a disk with little free space. There are other bug fixes, as well.

Snapz Pro X allows you to effortlessly record anything on your screen, saving it as a QuickTime movie or screenshot that can be e-mailed, put up on the web, or passed around however you want.
