The new version adds the ability to create a “TinyBooks-Pro-Conversion” file. With this file, existing TinyBooks users can upgrade to TinyBooks Pro 7 without having to re-enter even a single transaction.

Grapic.ly acquires iFanboy to bring community to the digital comics platform

Graphic.ly (http://www.graphic.ly), a community and digital content delivery platform for comics and other forms of publishing, has acquired iFanboy (http://www.ifanboy.com), a community/news/audio/video site for the comics and graphic novel enthusiast.

With the acquisition, iFanboy becomes a division of Graphic.ly, and will be integrated into the Graphic.ly Web site, as well as into the various platforms and applications Graphic.ly runs on, such as the iPhone, Adobe AIR and Windows 7. Alas, the Mac isn’t mentioned.

Press Play releases Max & The Magic Market game for the Mac

Independent Danish game developer Press Play recently released Max & The Magic Marker (http://maxandthemagicmarker.com/) for Mac OS X and Windows, reports “Inside Mac Games” (http://www.insidemacgames.com).

Described as a 2D puzzle platformer, the game puts players in the role of Max who must use his newly acquired Magic Marker to put a stop to the monster rampaging through his drawings. Max & Magic Marker costs US$20; a demo is available for download.
