I’m about the worst person at taking care of my car. I’m like the computer owner who never backs up, doesn’t run antivirus software, and always unplugs the computer instead of doing a proper shutdown.  

I’m a mechanic’s nightmare.  However with CarMD (US$98), at least I’m not a total n00b anymore in taking care of my car.

iBank rings up version 4.0rc1

IGC Software (http://www.iggsoftware.com) has released released iBank 4.0rc1 a new version of its financial management application for Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”). This update to the iBank 4 public beta fixes three import bugs pertaining to Quicken QIF files.

iBank costs USS$59.95. iBank for iPhone requires a MobileMe account. The Mac version requires Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”).

GraphicConverter X update adds ‘scale after crop’ option

Lemke Software has updated Graphic Converter (http://www.lemkesoft.com/index.html), an image editing tool for Mac OS X, to version 6.7.4. The new version adds a “scale after crop” option, PDN preview and sepia batch.

GraphicConverter converts pictures to different formats and has tools for picture manipulation. With it you can import about 200 graphic file formats and export approximately 80 graphic file formats. It’s a Universal Binary product, so runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs.
