Apple has updated iTunes for Mac OS X to version 12.5.1. It’s available at the Mac App Store for free and includes support for iOS 10, which is due to be released today.

According to Apple, iTunes 12.5.1 also has these features:

° Now with an all-new Apple Music design, which brings greater clarity and simplicity to every aspect of the experience.

° Siri. Play music from your Library and Apple Music using your voice. Just ask Siri.

° Picture-in-Picture. Watch videos as you multitask and use different apps. Your video floats above your desktop in any corner of the screen.

Fournova has announced Tower 2.5 (https://www.git-tower.com), an update to the Git client for Mac OS X. It provides an interface that combines all the important features that Git has to offer.

Version 2.5 boasts over 100 improvements, according to Fournova CEO Tobias Gunther. New features include:

° Tab support: in addition to its support for multiple windows Tower 2.5 now offers tabs for users who use Apple’s latest operating system macOS Sierra.

128bit Technologies (www.macappware.com) has posted Image Smith 2.3 on the Mac App Store. The app allows you to process several photos simultaneously. You can apply name changes, image enhancements, cropping, image format changes, and more to a large batch of images.

With Image Smith you can use the pre-defined presets to scale or stretch images down to formats suitable for web banners, e-mailing photos, creating backups, and more. Image Smith 2.3 requires OS X 10.7 or later and costs $14.99.
