Apple’s stock hits record high

Hot on the heels of an announced release date (Saturday, April 3) for the iPad, Apple’s stock has hit a record high of US$219.70, besting a previous high of $215.59, which it hit on Jan. 5 of this year.

Before today, Apple has been trading in a range between $190 and $215 since last October. Apple’s market cap is approaching $200 billion (it’s $199.17 billion).

Wrapster is new earbud cord management tool

Quirky (http://www.quirky.com/products) has released Wrapster, an US$5, community developed, earbud cord management solution. To use it, you simply wrap your cords vertically around the Wrapster from bottom to top to keep them in place.

Once wrapped, pop the earbuds through the two designated holes at the top of the Wrapster to keep them from dangling. Wrapster stands four inches tall and is constructed of bendable lightweight rubber. There are two holes at the top of the device for storing both earbuds and a slot on the base to hold the end of the cord in place when it’s wrapped up.

Apple wins four iF product design awards

At the CeBit tradeshow for the digital industry held in Hanover this week,Apple won four iF product design awards: a silver award for the iPod nano and three gold awards.

The gold awards were for the for iPod shuffle, 13-inch MacBook Pro and 24-inch LED Cinema Display. This year International Design Forum chose their favorites from 2,486 products submitted by the 1,016 entrants from 39 countries. 778 entries were awarded the renowned design seal of approval of the iF product design award.
