Pioneer has lowered the price of its DVR-A03 DVD/CD recorder (“SuperDrive”) to US$649. The price drop should also be reflected in the coming weeks with third-party, external FireWire versions of the drive, and will also presumably mean lower costs on the part for Apple, which ships it mid- and high-end Power Mac G4 configurations with the drive.
