Apple this morning opened two new retail stores at Clarendon, in Arlington, VA, and South Coast Plaza, in Costa Mesa, CA. Apple’s retail page has been updated to reflect the next two store openings: Palisades, in West Nyack, NY, and Rockingham Park, in Salem, NH.

URL Manager Pro 3.0b20 offers bookmark menus on the Dock on Mac OS X 10.1 and support of Internet Location Files on Mac OS X. The expiration date for this beta release is January 31st, 2002.

Aladdin Systems, Inc. has announced the French, German and Japanese releases of Stuffit Deluxe 6.5.1, its popular compression utility for OS 8/9 and Mac OS X.

Tenon Intersystems has announced that iTools 6.5, a new version of its Apache administration tools, is now shipping. iTools 6.5 for Mac OS X 10.1 and Mac OS X Server 10.1 has been extended by an Aqua graphical user interface that enables webmasters to setup and configure Apache directly on Apple’s Aqua desktop and more. iTools 6.5 is a free upgrade for all iTools 6.0 customers. For new customers the price is US$399, $299 (educational and sidegrades from WebSTAR), and $99 (upgrade from iTools 5.0).

Deneba has released Canvas 8.0.1, an updated version of its popular illustration software for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. The update fixes a number of bugs in Canvas 8, such as those with the clipart palette, Cube tool, soft crop and open commands.
