OmniWeb 4.0.6 fixes OS X 10.1 incompatibilities

The Omni Group has released OmniWeb 4.0.6, a new version of its popular Web browser for Mac OS X. Version 4.0.6 primarily fixes a number of crucial incompatibilities with Mac OS X 10.1 and later, as well as adding broader language support and a number of bug fixes. OmniWeb 4.1, which introduces a new JavaScript engine and faster rendering speeds among other significant enhancements, is expected to be released by Macworld Expo San Francisco 2002.

Palm takes US$50 off the m125

Palm has reduced the price of its m125 handheld from $249 to $199. The company attributes passing cost savings onto the customer for the reduction, although the overall weak market for handhelds is also a likely factor. Palm’s also dropped the discontinued (although still available) Vx from $249 to $199.
