Apple ranks fifth among e-tailers, Amazon dominates

Apple has ranked fifth in the Nielsen//NatRatings list of the top 15 e-tailers for November, accumulating 6.1 million unique visitors and outpacing several other PC makers, such as Dell (5.7M), HP (5.2M) and Compaq (3.6M). Amazon.com, meanwhile, dominated the competition with 31.4 million unique visitors, a 32 percent increase from the same period last year and over three times its closest competitor. The study also found that about half of all online shopping is done from work.
