Sonnet Technologies (www.sonnettech.com) has announced Mac compatible Twin 10G Thunderbolt 3 Edition Thunderbolt 3 to Dual-Port 10GBASE-T 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) adapter, and the Twin 10G SFP+ Thunderbolt 3 Edition Thunderbolt 3 to Dual-Port SFP+ 10GbE adapter.

Both allow you to add10GbE network connectivity to a Mac with a Thunderbolt 3 port. They also enable users to connect their computers via copper or optical cables to high-speed network infrastructure and storage systems using the 10GbE standard.

Maintain serves up Cocktail 10.2.1 (Sierra Edition)

Maintain has served up Cocktail 10.2.1 (Sierra Edition), a new edition of Cocktail for users running macOS Sierra.

It’s a general purpose utility for macOS that lets users clean, repair and optimize their Macs. The new version adds support for unified logging, macOS Sierra 10.12.3 compatibility, and more.

Digital banking users to reach three billion by 2021

New research from Juniper Research (www.juniperresearch.com) forecasts that, by 2021, nearly three billion users will access retail banking services via smartphones, tablets, PCs and smartwatches, up 53% from this year.

The research group finds that usage will continue to rise as consumers increasingly opt for banks offering the convenience of rapid, multi-channel digital services. This means that banks will need to focus on providing a more frictionless digital experience to their customers, especially if they are to remain market leaders.

TextSoap for macOS gets a maintenance upgrade

Unmarked Software (www.unmarked.com) has updated TextSoap, its macOS productivity tool designed to automate the tedious task of manually cleaning up text, to version 8.3.1.
