AutoMounter for macOS gets Bonjour integration

Pixeleyes has released AutoMounter 1.4 (http://tinyurl.com/ju9qqol), an update to their menu item designed to automatically mount your network shares on macOS.

Whenever you change locations, the utility will mount your shares from the available server or Network-attached storage appliance, and they will appear on your Desktop. AutoMounter is secure, uses native macOS frameworks, and doesn’t store your credentials. No scripting is required. Version 1.4 adds Bonjour integration, performance enhancements, and bug fixes.

Output Factory for Adobe InDesign upgrade improves TIFF image export

Zevrix Solutions has announced Output Factory 1.5.64, a maintenance update to its output automation solution for Adobe InDesign.

The utility automates printing, exporting and  preflighting from InDesign. The software offers batch processing, export as single pages, layer versioning and much more. Version 1.5.64 makes Output Factory a 64-bit application and addresses an issue in which blank TIFF images could be created under low memory conditions when exporting oversized InDesign documents.

Gartner: almost three million irons will ship this year

Production of drones for personal and commercial use is growing rapidly, with global market revenue expected to increase 34% to reach more than $6 billion in 2017 and grow to more than $11.2 billion by 2020, according to a new forecast from the Gartner, Inc (www.gartner.com) research group.

Almost three million drones will be produced in 2017, 39% more than in 2016.

Touch Innovations has released the Kontrol Master, a touch technology-driven desktop design for speeding up workflow with enhanced ergonomic control of unlimited DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) virtual faders and knobs.

It integrates a user’s second hand into the musical mix using a knob to control virtual knobs, faders, and more. Users can hover the mouse pointer over the object to be controlled and immediately start using that knob for a tactile feel.
