Mobile apps offer a best practice for serving customers

Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are moving rapidly toward adopting mobile apps, according to new research from Clutch (https://clutch.co/), a research, ratings, and reviews platform for business services.

Currently, 42% of SMBs have built their own mobile app, but Clutch’s survey indicates that SMBs increasingly view them as a worthwhile tool to improve business operations and return on investment. Two-thirds (67%) of SMBs surveyed said they plan on having a mobile app by the end of 2017, a benchmark growth rate of over 50% over the course of the year.

Transport Sleeve available for Mac laptops, iPads

Triple Aught Design has debuted the Transport Sleeve (http://tinyurl.com/jl2x6u9) for the Apple MacBook and iPad Pro. The main compartment is accessed via an L-shaped zipper in both vertical or horizontal orientations.

The front of the Transport Sleeve features a pleated, weather-resistant pocket that expands to fit additional accessories such as cables and chargers, and lays flat when not in use. The back of the sleeve contains a document sleeve that can hold paper or other flat, thin items.

Zevrix Deliver now supports FTP-SSL for secure file transfers

Zevrix Solutions has announced Deliver 2.6, a feature update to the company’s file transfer solution with automatic email notifications.

The tool lets users send files to FTP, SFTP, Amazon S3, WebDAV and other remote and local servers. Deliver notifies recipients about delivered files automatically, eliminating the need to compose and send confirmation emails for each transfer. Version 2.6 introduces support for FTP over SSL (FTPS) connection for secure encrypted file transfers to FTP servers.

iFinance for macOS upgraded to version 4.2.1

Synium Software has released iFinance 4.2.1, an update of the financial tracking app for macOS (10.10 and higher). It’s a maintenance update.

iFinance supports several different banking file formats like CSV, QIF, OFX, or mt940. You can import your data by using one of these formats or retrieve your bank account transactions via OFX direct connect. (Note that not all banks support OFX direct connect).
