Apple Stockpiling Parts for Foldable iPhone Ahead of 2026 Launch Apple is building up inventory for its first foldable iPhone in preparation for the device's launch next year, claims a Chinese leaker with proven sources within Apple's supply chain.
According to Weibo-based account Fixed Focus Digital, Apple is now stockpiling key components for its long-rumored foldable iPhone, which we are tentatively referring to as "iPhone Fold." The leaker did not elaborate, but Apple is likely securing supplies of advanced parts including foldable OLED displays, titanium frames, and complex hinge assemblies that reportedly combine several materials.
The move suggests Apple is entering the crucial pre-production phase, where suppliers begin ramping output ahead of full mass production. Some of these components may have long lead times and high failure rates, so early stock-building helps reduce risk and smooth the eventual launch pipeline.
Apple's foldable iPhone is reportedly similar in style to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold, which uses a book-style folding mechanism, rather than the clamshell design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
When folded, users will interact with a 5.5-inch outer display that is similar to a typical iPhone screen, while unfolding it will reveal a larger 7.8-inch iPad-style screen. The inner display is said to be virtually crease-free, with some sources claiming it features an under-screen camera. The outer screen is said to have a punch-hole camera, while authentication is handled by Touch ID integrated into the side button, rather than Face ID. There's also a dual-lens camera on the rear.
According to analyst Jeff Pu, the frame is made from a mix of titanium and aluminum. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also said Apple is using multiple materials, but he believes the main ones are titanium and stainless steel. Kuo also believes some hinge components will be made from Liquidmetal for further durability.
The foldable iPhone is rumored to be as thin as 4.5mm when opened up, which would make it even thinner than the iPhone Air, so titanium is likely being used to prevent bending issues. With display and mechanical engineering challenges unlike any current iPhone, Apple's logistical groundwork hints that its first foldable device may finally be nearing reality. The iPhone Fold is expected to be part of the iPhone 18 lineup, launching in September 2026.Tags: Fixed Focus Digital, Foldable iPhoneThis article, "" first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums

Apple might not be done releasing new products in 2025–here’s what coming in November Macworld
November is typically marked by some nice new OS updates that add polish and a few minor features to the big release of the year, along with new shows and games on Apple’s services.
Occasionally, we’ll get some hardware release in November as well. This year is shaping up to follow the expected pattern—here’s what we think is coming this month from Apple.
Updated AirTag, HomePod mini, and Apple TV
There are still three new pieces of hardware that have been rumored for a late 2025 release. It’s getting late in the year, but Apple has released new products as late as December 20, so it’s still possible that any or all of these arrive this month:
Updated AirTag: Potentially called AirTag 2, the main differences are a new U2 chip that allows for a longer tracking range and improved battery life, and a speaker that is harder to disable.
Updated HomePod mini: Also maybe called HomePod mini 2, this should upgrade the S5 processor to something more modern that will better support future Apple Intelligence features. It should also have Apple’s N1 networking chip, the upgraded U2 chip, and better sound quality.
Apple TV 4K (4th gen): The A15 should be updated to an A17 Pro, with the goal of supporting future Apple Intelligence features. This product should also get Apple’s N1 wireless chip. Interestingly, there have been some rumors to suggest Apple might put a camera on the Apple TV 4K, either for FaceTime or potentially AI features like recognizing who is watching.
Apps and software updates
This year, the x.1 updates landed a little later than usual. We only just got release candidates of iOS 26.1, macOS 26.1, and all the other 26.1 updates in the last week of October, which means the wide release will come right at the start of November, likely Monday.
This polishes up the interface a little and adds several quality-of-life improvements like an Alarm that’s harder to accidentally turn off, swiping to change tracks in Apple Music, the ability to tint the Liquid Glass effect, and more. iPadOS 26.1 adds Slide Over back, as well.
Right around the start of November we should get the first beta releases of the 26.2 updates. We don’t expect any major new features, but again something of the same scope as the 26.1 updates: polish and some quality-of-life improvements. They could arrive in December or early in the new year.

Inside Camera in iOS 26 — The essentials of iPhone photography The Camera app is probably the most-used app on the iPhone. Here's everything you need to know to get started using the Camera in iOS 26.iOS 26 CameraPhotography and videography have been a core part of the smartphone experience for quite some time. With the camera capabilities of the iPhone used frequently as a marketing tool, it is also evidently close to the heart of Apple itself. As one of the most-used apps in Apple's ecosystem, the Camera is the primary way users capture photos or videos of events. It is used to make memories that they can view and share with others, and is arguably as important as basic features like using iMessage. Continue Reading on AppleInsider | Discuss on our Forums

I’m so annoyed by these 10 things in Apple Mail Macworld
Apple Mail is a decent alternative to Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Spark, and all the other email clients available for the Mac. But even though Apple has been delivering its in-house mail client for years and regularly updates it, it doesn’t come without criticisms–it could be a much better email client if it weren’t for these annoyances.
Half-hearted AI implementation
Since macOS 15.4 and iOS 18.4, Apple Intelligence has been an integral part of the operating system and also of Apple Mail, but Apple Intelligence can still only “tinker” with email texts–summaries, smart replies, writing tools, and a bit more. There is enormous potential for AI features, especially in email management and spam detection. Instead of relying on real artificial intelligence, Apple Mail continues to rely on so-called “intelligent” folders for organization and spam detection. That is not enough.
Catastrophic spam detection
Because Apple does not currently rely on AI for this and has apparently not made any improvements to the algorithms for “intelligent” spam detection for years, Apple Mail’s filter function is disastrous. It practically doesn’t work at all on the iPhone and iPad, and on the Mac, the results are hit and miss.
Long-time Apple Mail users know the problem: the same annoying spam messages that have been moved to the spam folder countless times end up in the inbox again and again. At the same time, important emails disappear into the spam folder for completely obscure reasons. This is particularly annoying when it comes to really important messages, like bills that are due.
Smart mailboxes are not smart
Anyone using Apple Mail with intelligent mailboxes for email management quickly realizes that the “intelligence” is based on mere filters. Users have to manually list criteria such as “sender – contains – @nerviger-newsletter.de” in order to sort emails specifically. This was a great innovation in 2005 when Apple Mail 2.0 came out and introduced this feature. 20 years later and in light of the AI revolution, it looks old: Even in OS 26, the “intelligence” is limited to creating long if-then lists in the Apple Mail interface.
If you like long, confusing lists, you can use the Smart Mailbox function in Apple Mail.
Foundry
An increasingly confusing app
Apple Mail originally goes back to Nextmail, the mail client of Steve Jobs’ NextStep operating system, which formed the basis for today’s Apple operating systems. Unfortunately, Apple hasn’t dared to undertake a fundamental redesign of the UI since then but it continues to tack on new functions. The result: Apple Mail is extremely confusing, particularly on the Mac, especially when multiple mail accounts and smart and local folders come into play.
To improve the overview, Apple has gradually introduced features such as mail flags, the VIP folder, and the conversation view. The latest “masterpiece” was the addition of mail categories, which makes things even more complicated for many users. Fortunately, many of these functions can be deactivated so that a little order can be restored.
Even the settings are confusing. Numerous menus create even more chaos.
Foundry
Menus, menus, menus
What cannot be switched off is Apple’s menu mania in Apple Mail for Mac. There is the settings menu, which has grown into a confusing mess over the years. The same applies to the menu bar, which contains dozens of tick boxes and where a small operating error can completely ruin the appearance of Apple Mail. The meaning of the individual menu items sometimes requires an advanced diploma in software design.
If that wasn’t bad enough, there is, of course, the context menu, which simply contains too many menu items that are hardly organized logically. There is not much left of Apple’s basic idea of simple usability here.
Mail categories
The Mail app on the Mac is so messed up that even things that are supposed to make it better cause even more chaos. Since macOS 15/iOS 18, Apple Mail automatically recognizes whether an email is important, contains a transaction or news, or whether it is advertising (not spam, because the English word here is “promotions”).
Unfortunately, the tabs hide all other emails. If you are in the wrong tab, it is easy to overlook important messages. The categorization itself is more like a lottery than a clear logic: important emails suddenly end up under “Advertising,” transactions appear everywhere but not in the proper tab. It is practically impossible to adjust the categorization manually, as emails can only be assigned to the predefined categories.
Account synchronization limits
Anyone who uses multiple email accounts in Apple Mail will be familiar with the problem when switching to new devices. Mail accounts already set up on a Mac are transferred to another Mac, but not to an iPhone or iPad. Conversely, accounts remain within the iOS system: If you add a new iPad to your iPhone, you will find the accounts there, but not on a Mac.
This is particularly annoying because mail accounts often have to be painstakingly set up again, even though Apple actually provides the technology to automatically synchronize accounts on all devices with iCloud and the keychain.
Setting up mail accounts is sometimes like a game of chance. Added to this is the lack of synchronisation between iOS and Mac.
Account login hiccups
Suddenly, Apple Mail wants the password for an account, or the account cannot be recognized at all during setup. This is usually due to a problem with the mail server, but Apple Mail tends to show weaknesses, especially with IMAP accounts from third-party providers that are neither Apple, Google, Microsoft, nor AOL.
There are two reasons for this: Firstly, the setup interface is rather confusing, and secondly, Apple Mail sometimes seems simply unreliable when it comes to configuration. Some accounts cannot be added on individual devices, but then suddenly can be added to others. What is frustrating is that users have little influence over this.
Missing attachments that can’t load
“Here’s an important file!” The problem is that Apple Mail displays the attachment, but it cannot be opened or downloaded. The only solution is to ask the sender of the message to send the files again separately. Conversely, Apple Mail can also play this game and send attachments in such a way that the recipient does not receive them correctly, or some files are missing. This has been a problem for years. But whether and how it occurs seems to depend on the combination of mail software used by the sender and recipient. In any case, Apple Mail plays its own role here.
Upgrade crash game
With every new macOS or iOS version, the Mail app also receives a new version number, and this often causes instability and crashes. Particularly dreaded is the message “Updating the Mail database” on the first start after an upgrade. After that, problems tend to occur: lost emails or attachments, forgotten passwords, or even severe crashes. Apple Mail is particularly sensitive here, so the only real solution is usually to wait for the first bugfix release of the new operating system version.

JP Morgan hikes Apple stock target to $305, second increase in a week Apple's momentum built on iPhone 17 demand and strong guidance for the December quarter has prompted JP Morgan to up its price target to $305, the second increase in a week.iPhone 17 demand will drive growthSeveral records were broken with Apple's Q4 2025 earnings, and even though iPhone growth wasn't as high as analysts hoped, at least one is more bullish than ever. Apple shared that it expects its December quarter to be its best yet, breaking records set during the 5G supercycle and the COVID outbreak.According to a note from JP Morgan seen by AppleInsider, Apple is set to ride a wave of growth driven by AI investment, continued interest in iPhone upgrades, and the future foldable iPhone expected in late 2026. The only downside noted is Apple's operating expenses will continue to grow, approximately 19% year over year. Continue Reading on AppleInsider | Discuss on our Forums

Around this time two years ago, OpenAI’s incredibly popular GPT-4 API was spreading like wildfire all over the App Store. It wasn’t long before AI-powered productivity apps, chatbot companions, nutritional trackers, and basically anything else you could think of dominated the charts, garnering millions of downloads. Fast forward to today, many of those vibe-coded, opportunistic apps have disappeared, partly due to cooling hype but also Apple’s tougher stance against knockoffs and misleading apps.
However, this week, security researcher Alex Kleber noticed that one misleading AI chatbot, impersonating OpenAI’s branding, managed to achieve top marks in the Business category. Albeit on the less popular Mac App Store, this is still significant and warrants a PSA to be cautious sharing personal information with these apps.

Here are all the records Apple said it broke in Q4 2025 on the earnings call If there was a central theme to Apple's Q4 2025 earnings call, it was how many records it broke either for the quarter or all time. Here's every metric they called out during the call.Apple breaks plenty of records in Q4Apple has a habit of breaking records. The iPhone is the most popular consumer electronic device on Earth, and its various other products are industry-leading in their own right. It isn't unusual for Apple to let investors know when it's earned more money in a certain segment, or gained more users for a new product. However, what is unusual is just how many of those records were broken, or at least called out directly, during the Q4 2025 earnings call. Continue Reading on AppleInsider | Discuss on our Forums

Apple's Q4 2025 Earnings Call Takeaways Apple held its earnings call for the fourth fiscal quarter (third calendar quarter) of 2025 today. With quarterly revenue of $102.5 billion, Apple set a new September quarter revenue record, beating analyst expectations. Apple CEO Tim Cook and Apple CFO Kevan Parekh provided insight into iPhone sales, holiday quarter expectations, and more.
We've rounded up the most interesting takeaways from the call.
iPhone 17 Sales
Cook said that demand for the iPhone 17 models is "off the chart." Traffic in stores is up significantly, and Cook said that consumer reception is "very strong." Apple set a September quarter record for upgraders.
iPhone supply was constrained during the quarter, and several iPhone 17 models are still constrained. Cook said Apple is working hard to fulfill all the orders that it has.
When asked why the iPhone 17 was doing so well, Cook said the following:
I think it's all about the product. The product lineup is incredibly strong or strong as ever. The 17 Pro is the most pro phone we've ever done. It's incredible. And the design sings. The iPhone air feels so thin and so light in your hand, it feels like it's going to fly away. And then the 17 phone is an incredible value, and takes several of the features that were reserved for pro before and brings them down to the consumer lineup. So overall, strongest iPhone lineup ever, and it's resonating around the world.
iPad
Though Apple refreshed the iPad lineup with the iPad Pro, many other iPads haven't had an update as of late. iPad sales were flat, with $6.95 billion in revenue.
Half of customers who purchased an iPad during the quarter were new to the product.
Mac
Mac sales were up, thanks to the launch of new MacBook Air models this year. Mac revenue was $8.7 billion, up from $7.7 billion last year. The Mac install base reached a new all-time high.
Apple said next quarter's Mac sales won't be as impressive because of an "extremely difficult compare." Last year, Apple launched several Macs late in the year, but this year the company only released the M5 MacBook Pro.
Wearables, Home and Accessories
Apple's wearables category includes the Apple Watch and Vision Pro. Sales were slightly down at $9.01 billion compared to $9.04 billion last year.
Services
Apple's Services segment hit a new all-time revenue record, reaching $28.8 billion, up from $25 billion in the year-ago quarter.
Services set revenue records in Americas, Europe, Japan, Rest of Asia Pacific, and a September quarter record in Greater China. Payment services hit an all-time revenue record and there was double-digit growth on Apple Pay active users.
Services revenue has surpassed $100 billion for the year, up 14 percent.
Siri Revamp
Apple is still on track to release an upgraded version of Siri next year, according to Cook. Apple is also planning for more partnerships like the ChatGPT integration in Apple Intelligence.
AI
Parekh said that Apple is "significantly increasing" its investments in AI, with operating expenses between $18.1 and $18.5 billion expected.
Cook said that Apple is continuing to develop its Apple foundation models, and several are in development. But he also said that Apple continually looks at the market and is open to pursuing an acquisition if it will advance the company's roadmap.
China
Despite strong iPhone sales, revenue in China was down significantly. Cook said that China is expected to return to growth in the December quarter because of the reception to the iPhone 17.
Revenue in China was $14.5 billion, down from $15 billion last year, and below analyst expectations of approximately $16.4 billion.
Tariffs
Apple said that it had $1.1 billion in tariff-related costs in Q4 2025. Apple expects $1.4 billion in tariff-related costs next quarter, assuming that nothing changes. It does include the recent tariff change on goods imported from China, which dropped to 10 percent from 20 percent.
December Quarter
Apple CEO Tim Cook said that total company revenue would grow 10 to 12 percent year over year in the December quarter. iPhone revenue is expected to grow double digits, and Apple is projecting that it will have its best December quarter ever.Tag: EarningsThis article, "" first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums

Hits from tariffs continue, Apple to pay $1.4 billion more in 2025 holiday quarter Speaking during Apple's latest earnings call, Tim Cook revealed that in the last quarter, tariffs have hit Apple to the tune of $1.1 billion — and it will be another $1.4 billion in the holiday quarter.Apple CEO Tim CookIn the last earnings call, Cook predicted that the impact of tariffs would cost Apple much more in this next quarter. Apple is probably done releasing Macs in 2025 Apple's Q1 2026 forecast has warned that Macs will see a tough compare year-over-year to end the year since just about the entire consumer and prosumer Mac lines were updated in time for the 2024 holiday quarter, versus one model refresh before for 2025.Only one MacBook Pro got an update in October 2025Rewind to October 2024, and Apple has just revealed the M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max to be used in all models of MacBook Pro. Apple posts record Q4 2025, with double-digit Mac sales increase Macworld
Apple held its fourth quarter 2025 financial results on Thursday, and the company posted revenue of $102.5 billion, an 8 percent year-over-year increase, and quarterly diluted earnings per share of $1.85. The company reported $27.5 billion in profit.
“Our September quarter results capped off a record fiscal year, with revenue reaching $416 billion, as well as double-digit EPS growth,” Apple Kevan Parekh said in a press release. “And thanks to our very high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, our installed base of active devices also reached a new all-time high across all product categories and geographic segments.”
Mac sales were up almost 13 percent year-over-year. which is impressive when considering that the fourth quarter did not see a new Mac release. (The recently released M5 MacBook Pro will be reflected in Q1 2026, and the Mac Studio and MacBook Air released in March are part of Q3 2025.) It is the quarter that includes back-to-school sales, which may account for some of the growth. Apple Services continues to be a major contributor to Apple’s revenue, with a 15 percent increase in Q4.
The iPhone, while generating over $49 billion in revenue, saw an increase of only 6 percent. The iPhone 17 lineups and the iPhone Air were released on September 19, eight days before the close of Q4. Sales of those new iPhones will be better reflected in the next financial quarter.
How the quarter ended year-over-year for Apple:
iPhone: $44.0 billion (up from $46.2 billion)
iPad: $6.95 billion (no major change)
Mac: $8.7 billion (up from $7.7 billion)
Wearables, Home, and Accessories: $9 billion (no major change)
Services: $28.8 billion (up from $25 billion)
Apple’s board of directors has declared a cash dividend of $0.26 per share. The dividend is payable on November 13 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on November 10.

Apple CEO Tim Cook Says Revamped Siri on Track to Launch Next Year Apple CEO Tim Cook recently told CNBC's Steve Kovach that a more personalized Siri remains on track to launch at some point next year, with the new set of features expected to debut on the iPhone as part of iOS 26.4 in March.
Cook shared this comment as Apple reported record earnings results for the third quarter of 2025.
Apple first announced the personalized Siri features during its WWDC 2024 keynote, but in March it announced that they were delayed. The new capabilities will include better understanding of a user's personal context, on-screen awareness, and deeper per-app controls. For example, Apple showed an iPhone user asking Siri about their mother's flight and lunch reservation plans based on info from the Mail and Messages apps.

Apple Reports 4Q 2025 Results: $27.5B Profit on $102.5B Revenue Apple today announced financial results for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2025, which corresponds to the third calendar quarter of the year.
For the quarter, Apple posted revenue of $102.5 billion and net quarterly profit of $27.5 billion, or $1.85 per diluted share, compared to revenue of $94.9 billion and net quarterly profit of $14.7 billion, or $0.97 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter.
Apple's profits in the year-ago quarter were hit hard by a one-time charge of $10.2 billion over tax issues in the European Union. Without that one-time charge, Apple's profits in the year-ago quarter would have been $1.64 per share.
Gross margin for the most recent quarter was 47.2 percent, compared to 46.2 percent in the year-ago quarter. Apple also declared a quarterly dividend payment of $0.26 per share, payable on November 13 to shareholders of record as of November 10.
Apple set September quarter records for total revenue, iPhone revenue, and earnings per share, and an all-time record for Services revenue.
For the full fiscal year, Apple recorded $416.2 billion in sales and $112.0 billion in net income, compared to $391.0 billion in sales and $93.7 billion in net income for fiscal 2024. Both numbers set all-time fiscal year records for Apple, topping previous highs set in fiscal 2022."Today, Apple is very proud to report a September quarter revenue record of $102.5 billion, including a September quarter revenue record for iPhone and an all-time revenue record for Services," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. "In September, we were thrilled to launch our best iPhone lineup ever, including iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, and iPhone Air. SwiftUI Markdown rendering is too slow – switched to WebView + JS (but hit another issue) Hey folks, just wanted to share my experience after replacing a SwiftUI-based markdown renderer with a WebView + JavaScript solution. I've always been a bit hesitant to use WebView + JS in iOS apps — my instinct says it can easily go wrong, even if I couldn't explain exactly why. Recently, I ran into serious […]

How do you stay motivated? Hi all. I’ve been solo developing my app for 6 months now. Although I’m well versed with programming in general, I’m new to app development. Video: Testing the New M5 Apple Vision Pro Apple recently refreshed the Apple Vision Pro, adding a new M5 chip for improved performance. There aren't design changes, but Apple did introduce a new Dual Knit Band that's supposed to be more comfortable. MacRumors videographer Dan Barbera picked up one of the new Vision Pro headsets to see how it compares to the prior-generation M2 versions.
Subscribe to the MacRumors YouTube channel for more videos.
Software and hardware are the same if you've been using visionOS 26, but with the M5 chip, performance is noticeably improved. Creating a Persona, generating spatial photos, and using multiple apps at once are all tasks that are quicker.
Apple didn't update the micro-OLED displays in the Vision Pro, but the M5 is able to render 10 percent more pixels and it supports a 120Hz refresh rate, so things look smoother than before. Mac Virtual Display, where the Vision Pro works as a screen for your Mac, looks like two sharp 5K displays side-by-side. Personalized Spatial Audio support adds more accurate directionality for more immersive audio.
To improve the wearing experience, the Vision Pro ships with a Dual Knit Band that replaces the prior Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop that came with the M2 model. The Dual Knit Band has a strap that goes over the top of the head and one at the back of the head, which allows for better weight distribution. The back band has weights inside for counterbalance, and it does make a difference in how it feels.
The top and bottom straps can be adjusted using an updated Fit Dial, so each Vision Pro wearer can get an ideal fit. The Dual Knit Band isn't a miracle fix, so while it does make the Vision Pro a little more comfortable to wear, it's still a heavy headset. The M5 Vision Pro continues to be priced at $3,499, and it can be purchased from Apple. M2 Vision Pro owners can buy the Dual Knit Band standalone for $99.Related Roundup: Apple Vision ProBuyer's Guide: Vision Pro (Buy Now)Related Forum: Apple Vision ProThis article, "" first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums

Apple This November: iOS 26.2 Beta, Rumored New Products, and More Tomorrow is Halloween, and then November is upon us. Below, we outline what to expect from Apple next month, as the slower holiday season approaches.
Apple is expected to kick off November by releasing iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1. With beta testing now wrapped up, the updates will likely be released this Monday, November 3 or Tuesday, November 4.
iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and macOS 26.1 let you choose your preferred look for Liquid Glass. iPadOS 26.1 also reintroduces a version of the Slide Over feature for multitasking, and it expands the Apple Vision Pro app to iPads. With visionOS 26.1, videos in the Spatial Gallery app will show playback controls and video length while in immersive view.
watchOS 26.1 and tvOS 26.1 are minor updates, with bug fixes and performance improvements.
The beta train never stops, with Apple likely to seed the first betas of iOS 26.2, iPadOS 26.2, macOS 26.2, watchOS 26.2, tvOS 26.2, and visionOS 26.2 in the first or second week of November. Apple typically releases the "point-two" updates in mid-December, before Apple's software engineers take time off for the holiday season.
We are still waiting on Apple's promised U.S. passport feature in the iPhone's Wallet app. Apple said the feature is "coming later this year," but it is unclear if it will require iOS 26.2, or if will be enabled with a server-side update.
Earlier this month, Apple updated the 14-inch MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and Vision Pro with its next-generation M5 chip, and previous rumors have indicated the company still planned to announce at least a few additional products before the end of the year. However, as we head into November, it is unclear if that will still happen.
The following Apple products have at one point been rumored to be updated in 2025:
HomePod mini: S9 chip or newer with support for next year's revamped version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence, likely Apple's N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 support, improved sound quality, a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip for proximity features, and potentially new color options like Red.
Apple TV: A faster A17 Pro chip that will support next year's revamped version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence, and likely Apple's N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 support. A built-in FaceTime camera has been rumored for a future Apple TV, but it is unclear if that will arrive with the next model specifically.
AirTag: Up to 3× longer item tracking range vs. current AirTag, a more tamper-proof speaker, and "very low" battery life alerts. The following products are rumored to launch in late 2025 or early 2026:MacBook with A18 Pro chip: A lower-cost MacBook model equipped with an A18 Pro chip — or perhaps an A19 Pro chip, although this might be wishful thinking — is rumored to launch in late 2025 or early 2026.
Studio Display: A new version of the Studio Display with an A19 Pro chip and mini-LED backlighting is expected to launch in late 2025 or early 2026.
Pro Display XDR: A new version of the Pro Display XDR with a built-in Center Stage camera is expected to launch in late 2025 or early 2026.Apple rarely announces new products in November, but it is not unheard of. Apple introduced the first 16-inch MacBook Pro in November 2019, and the original HomePod mini debuted in November 2020. Apple has even announced a few products in December over the years, such as multiple Mac Pro models, the Pro Display XDR, and the AirPods Max.
HomePod mini and Apple TV inventory is starting to dwindle at select Apple Store locations around the world, as often happens ahead of new models.
There is one big caveat, though. Apple delayed its more personalized version of Siri until next year — it is expected to launch with iOS 26.4 in March — so perhaps it is holding off on releasing a new HomePod mini until then. Apple's long-rumored smart home hub was reportedly delayed until the all-new Siri is ready. However, this is just a theory.
Apple's professional video editing tool Final Cut Pro often receives a major update in November, and we recently reported that the company is possibly planning to release iPad versions of its Final Cut Pro companion apps Compressor and Motion, Logic Pro companion app MainStage, and Pixelmator Pro. Maybe those will come out next month, too.
Finally, Apple has been heavily promoting its upcoming sci-fi drama series Pluribus, which hails from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan. The first two episodes of Pluribus will be released on Apple TV (formerly known as Apple TV+) on Friday, November 7, and a new episode will follow every Friday through December 26.
Of course, these are only the things that we know to expect, and Apple could have some other announcements in store this November. Apple will likely implement its extended return policy for the holiday season next month, announce year-end awards for services like Apple Music and the App Store, and more. Stay tuned!Related Roundups: iOS 26, iPadOS 26Related Forum: iOS 26This article, "" first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums

This guy turned his old MacBook into a trash can, and it can be yours for just $450 Macworld
Facebook Marketplace has a reputation for having some weird stuff. Take, for instance, this trash can for sale by Brandon Nielsen. It’s not just any old trash can–it features a MacBook as its lid. Open the can by lifting the MacBook lid, and you’ll find a wide opening where the keyboard and trackpad used to be. Dump your trash, close the MacBook lid, and you don’t have to worry about the garbage stinking up the joint.
So, the first question you have (or I have), is, why? “Just thought people didn’t want to stare at trash cans in nice areas,” according to Nielsen in the product description. Well, Nielsen certainly accomplished that–with the MacBook closed, it looks simply like a laptop sitting on a nicely-crafted stand.
Brandon Nielsen/Facebook
If you’re interested in the MacBook trash can, it can be yours for $450 (cash only). Also, you’ll need to make delivery arrangements–Nielsen is located in Scottsdale, Arizona. If you’re really interested, Nielsen apparently has a bunch of old MacBooks lying around, because he “can make more.”
In other Mac trash news, Bewareweegee posted on Reddit about an old, working Core 2 Duo iMac that was actually found in a trash can. Come to think of it, that iMac body could make for a pretty cool trash can lid. Hey Brandon, I’ve got an idea for you…

iPad mini 7 after one year: The ‘everything’ computer The iPad mini continues to hold a special place in my heart. The iPad mini 7 isn’t the most powerful tablet Apple makes by any means, but it’s the one that is the most inviting and the one my family and I gravitate to the most. It has been out for a year now and when I stopped to think about it, I began to realize just how many ways we use it, from simple web browsing and e-books, to child education purposes, to the brains of my work operation. And while my iPad Pro is my main computer and I love everything it does, I would have to say that the iPad mini is Apple’s most versatile and purest form of iPad.
