Siri will continue to be incompetent … until it very suddenly isn’t I know, we’ve been waiting forever for the new Siri and it still isn’t here yet. Many are adopting the cynical view that it won’t be worth the wait, and that AI is mostly hype anyway.
I’ve long felt that my own view of AI is somewhat at odds with the very polarized views mostly expressed on the internet. That it’s a villain or a hero. That it’s a mental toddler or a professor. I don’t see it as either, but a recent experience with Claude suggested to me that it is now close to reaching a tipping point …

Unless you always hold your iPad or leave it on your lap, you need a stand for comfortable viewing.
And the tablet is much more than a giant iPhone. Connect it to a monitor and keyboard, add some storage drives and other handy devices and it can match a MacBook for functionality.
The Satechi OntheGo Foldable Stand Hub will keep your iPad at a secure and comfortable angle, plus provide seven high-end ports.
Satechi
Ports ahoy: What ports do you get, and are they fast enough?
Neatly placed at the back and sides of the Stand Hub are all the ports an iPad user should require. It connects to your iPad with its integrated 6.7-inch (170mm) USB-C cable that’s tucked into its base. It’s compatible with all iPads from 2021 onwards.
The ports are fine matches for the iPad:
USB-C PD charging port (100W PD)
USB-C port (10Gbps)
USB-A port (10Gbps)
HDMI 2.0 port (support for 4K display at 60Hz)
SD 4.0 card reader (UHS-II, 312MBps)
MicroSD 4.0 card reader (UHS-II, 312MBps)
3.5mm audio jack (input/output)
100W is plenty for even the top-end iPad Pro, which can be fast-charged with a power adapter of 60W or higher. You’ll need to add your own USB-C charger; we’ve reviewed the best USB-C chargers in case you don’t have one spare. Apple ships the iPad with a 20W power adapter so you’ll fare better with a more powerful charger.
If even a 13-inch iPad’s screen is not enough for you then you can hook it up to a larger monitor via the HDMI 2.0 port. It will support up to a 4K display at 60Hz—not a fast enough refresh rate for hardened gamers but fine for the rest of us.
Simon Jary
You can create quite a desktop setup by using the USB ports to add storage drives and other devices. The 10Gbps data-transfer rate might not match the iPad Pro’s 40Gbps Thunderbolt but matches the iPad Air and iPad mini’s USB port. The entry-level iPad sadly will remain stuck at its slow USB 2.0 speed of 480Mbps.
The USB-A port is also rated at 10Gbps and is great for memory sticks or a wired keyboard or mouse.
Some iPads have as little as 128GB of storage, and an easy and affordable way to boost this is via a super-portable SD or MicroSD card. Storage prices are volatile but at the time of writing you could buy a 256GB MicroSD card for under $40. You can’t install larger drives in your iPad, and at the point of purchase Apple charges an extra $200 to that add that same amount of storage.
The Satechi OntheGo Foldable Stand Hub comes with both SD and MicroSD card readers on one side, and both are rated at fast 312 MBps UHS-II.
Simon Jary
Portable design: How portable is the stand in real use?
Just as the iPad is super portable, you can easily pocket the Hub Stand, although you’d need very large pockets to include the wall charger, keyboard and 27-inch monitor.
It measures 4.3 x 4.3 x 0.75 inches (110 x 110 x 19mm) and weighs 6.6oz (187.5g).
Simon Jary
Price: Is it worth $79.99 compared to separate stand + hub?
The Satechi OntheGo Foldable Stand Hub is priced at $79.99, and €84.99.
For alternatives, read our reviews of the best iPad stands and best iPad hubs. With the Foldable Stand Hub you get both in one.
Simon Jary
Should you buy the Satechi OntheGo Foldable Stand Hub?
Every iPad deserves a stand, and rather you deserve one for viewing comfort and ergonomic comfort. There are enough fast ports on the Satechi OntheGo Foldable Stand Hub to enable you to create a desktop setup, and it’s portable enough to slip into your backpack or jacket pocket when you’re on the move.

WWDC 2026 guide: Expected date, how to watch and new product rumors Macworld
WWDC is Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, an annual event where the company sets its software agenda for the coming year. It is considered the most important date on Apple’s calendar for developers and enthusiasts alike.
WWDC will start with a keynote in which Apple will unveil major updates to operating systems including iOS, macOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. We may also see the company launch new Mac hardware.
Apple is yet to confirm the date when WWDC will begin, but we are fairly confident that it will start on Monday June 8, 2026, based on previous years. Apple reliably holds WWDC in the second week of June. If Apple follows usual practice WWDC will start with a keynote that will be live streamed from 10 a.m. PT.
For developers it’s the start of a summer-long process to get up to speed with new developments. For users, it’s a preview of the stuff they’re going to be using in the fall and throughout the next year.
In this article, we discuss how to watch WWDC 2026 and the major announcements (and some of the less exciting, but equally important, ones) you can expect to hear about. Some of these announcements – updates to the five big Apple operating systems, most obviously – are as predictable as the timing of the event. But we reckon Apple will spring a few surprises this year.
What to expect from WWDC 2026
Apple’s WWDC keynote is expected to begin at 10am PT on Monday, June 8, 2026.
The event will likely be streamed live on Apple’s website.
Expected announcements include iOS 27 and macOS 27, new AI-related features, and potential Mac hardware updates.
When is WWDC 2026 and when will the keynote start?
The invite to 2025’s WWDC.Apple
WWDC: June 8 to June 12, 2026 (Expected)
WWDC Keynote: Monday June 8 at 10am PT (Expected)
Apple has not yet officially announced the specific dates for WWDC 2026. However, based on the company’s established annual cycle, the conference typically takes place during the first or second week of June. In 2025 WWDC ran from June 9 to 13, with the keynote event on Monday June 9. Based on this, we expect that in 2026 it will run from June 8 to 12, with the keynote event on Monday June 8.
Apple usually confirms the date for WWDC around the end of March when it allows developers to enter a lottery and apply for a ticket to attend the keynote. Those who qualify have until the beginning of April to apply for tickets. We explain how current Apple Developer Program members, Apple Developer Enterprise Program members and Swift Student Challenge winners are able to apply for free tickets below.
The keynote is likely to start at the usual time of 10am Pacific Time. If you are wondering what time will the WWDC keynote start where you are, use this as a quick reference:
U.S.: 10 a.m. (PDT), 11 a.m. (MDT), 12 p.m. (CDT), 1 p.m. (EDT)
Canada: 2 p.m. (ADT)
U.K.: 6 p.m. (BST)
Europe: 7 p.m. (CEST)
India: 10:30 p.m. (IST)
Singapore and China: 1 a.m. the next day (SGT/CST)

What will Apple announce at WWDC 2026?
While developers are at the heart of WWDC, Apple uses the event to showcase its broader software roadmap and, at times, unveil new Macs and other products. In past years, we’ve seen a wide range of announcements, including major Mac updates. Here’s what we expect Apple to reveal at this year’s event, from software and hardware to the possibility of entirely new products.
Which software updates are expected at WWDC 2026?
Apple
WWDC is all about the software, so we can be certain that Apple will reveal details of its upcoming operating system updates for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, HomePod, and Apple Watch. Those updates will then be issued to developers as a beta to test, and then a few weeks later a public beta will start. Learn about participating in Apple’s beta software program so you can test the new software as soon as the beta arrives.
Eventually, the new software will be available for everyone to download in the fall (usually September for iOS/iPadOS/watchOS and either September or October for macOS.
Expected Software Updates
Apple is expected to announce the next generation of its primary operating systems, which will likely move to version number 27. These include:
iOS 27: Expected to be the flagship announcement for iPhone, potentially featuring the long-delayed “Siri 2.0” overhaul.
macOS 27: The successor to macOS 26 Tahoe.
iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27: Updates across Apple’s wearable, home, and spatial computing platforms.
Following the event the first developer betas for these new operating systems will be released, with public betas following in July.
Key Software Features and AI Developments
The most significant focus for WWDC 2026 is expected to be the completion of the “Apple Intelligence” roadmap. While many features were originally promised for 2024 and 2025, several major components have been pushed into the 2026 calendar year.
The “New Siri” (Siri 2.0): After multiple delays, a revamped Siri powered by Google’s Gemini is expected to be a central pillar of the 2026 software announcements. While the expected Siri overhaul is to be powered by Gemini, it’ll likely be a bespoke version running on Apple’s own servers to ensure it can retain its high standards regarding users’ data privacy.
Expanded AI Integration: Building on the “Playlist Playground” and “Writing Tools” introduced in the iOS 26.4 and macOS 26.4 betas, Apple is likely to debut more advanced generative AI features for its Pro apps and system-wide utilities for iOS 27.
Interface Refinements: Apple may further unify the design language across macOS and iPadOS, potentially adding more “Dynamic Island” functionality to the Mac.
Developer Tools and APIs
For developers, Apple typically introduces new versions of Xcode and updated Swift frameworks. APIs may be updated to allow third-party apps to integrate more deeply with Apple’s identity and payment systems. Additionally, Metal, a key technology for Mac game developers, enabling features like MetalFX Frame Interpolation, will likely see further expansion at WWDC.

Will Apple launch new hardware at WWDC 2026?
The 15-inch MacBook Air was introduced at WWDC 2023.Apple
WWDC tends to be a software-focused event, so new hardware is never guaranteed. In addition, Apple has already completed a major spring launch cycle in March 2026, which included the MacBook Neo, iPhone 17e, M4 iPad Air, and M5 Pro/Max MacBook Pro models. However, there are still several hardware products that are rumored or expected to appear at the June 2026 event.
Expected Mac Updates
Based on current release cycles and expert analysis, several Mac models are due for an M5-series upgrade.
Mac Studio and Mac Pro: These professional desktops are expected to receive updates to the M5 Max and a potential M4 Ultra or M5 Ultra chip by June 2026.
Mac mini: The compact desktop is expected to benefit from a M5 and M5 Pro update.
iMac: The consumer-focused all-in-one is a candidate for an M5 chip refresh during the WWDC timeframe.
Other rumored products
Smart Glasses and Wearables: Reports from late 2025 suggested Apple might provide a “first glimpse of its smart glasses” soon. Given the developer focus of WWDC, a preview of the software platform for these glasses or a new AI-powered pendant is possible.
Home Automation: Apple is reportedly developing a new home hub and a doorbell camera featuring Face ID, which could be integrated into the broader HomeKit discussions at the conference.
HomePod/HomeHub: There are lots of rumors about different products, from a HomePod with a display to a screen with a robot arm.
Q&A
What is WWDC?
WWDC stands for the Worldwide Developers Conference and is dedicated to the third-party software and hardware developers that create apps and accessories for Apple’s platforms: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch, HomePod and Vision Pro.
At the event Apple previews the software that will be coming to iPhones, Macs, iPads, Apple Watches, and so on, later in the year. A beta program starts after the event so that developers can start testing the new software, find out ways to use new features, and make sure it works with their apps.
Sometimes Apple launches new hardware at WWDC, but the key focus is always software.
What happens at WWDC?
The event typically begins with a high-profile keynote presentation that provides a “sneak peek” at the next versions of Apple’s software. Beyond the announcements, it is a week-long conference designed for the global developer community to learn about new technologies and APIs.
What happened at WWDC 2025
Watch the WWDC event as it happens here.
This event was particularly significant due to a massive visual overhaul and a change in how Apple names its software. It included:
The “Liquid Glass” Redesign: Apple introduced a new design language called Liquid Glass, which brought translucent, reflective, and glossy elements across all platforms . This aesthetic features curved “squircles,” glass-like layers that react to content beneath them, and a fully transparent menu bar in macOS.
Unified Version Numbering: Starting with the 2025 event, Apple synchronized the version numbers of all its operating systems to reflect the upcoming year. Consequently, the successors to iOS 18 and macOS 15 were named iOS 26 and macOS 26 Tahoe.
Apple Intelligence and Siri: While Apple continued to integrate AI features—such as AI-powered battery management and smarter Reminders—the long-awaited “New Siri” revamp faced further delays. Reports following the event indicated that the more conversational, context-aware version of Siri might not arrive until late 2026 or 2027.
Key Software Features included:
macOS 26 Tahoe: Introduced a significant overhaul to Spotlight, new mobile apps for the Mac (like Journal), and “Live Translation” for real-time communication in FaceTime and Messages.
iPadOS 26: Added “Mac-like” multitasking, allowing apps like Final Cut Pro to continue intensive processes in the background, and replaced the circular cursor with a desktop-style arrow .watchOS 26: Opened the Apple Watch Control Center to third-party widgets for the first time, allowing apps like Spotify or Strava to offer one-tap toggles
Who should watch WWDC
Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is a cornerstone event for anyone deeply embedded in the Apple ecosystem, ranging from professional software creators to casual device owners. While the week-long program is technically dense, the opening keynote is designed for a global audience.
WWDC is considered the second-biggest event on Apple’s calendar, surpassed only by the fall iPhone launch. It’s the event to watch if you want to get insight into Apple’s long-term strategic vision. If you own an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, or Apple TV, the WWDC keynote is highly relevant because it give you a sneak peek at the new software coming to your devices later in the year.
How to attend WWDC
WWDC is primarily a digital event with all registered Apple developers able to get online access to session videos, slides, and sample code throughout the week.
There is usually an in-person event at Apple Park though. If you want to attend WWDC and the keynote in person you have to enter a lottery and apply for a ticket to attend the keynote alongside other developers. There is a lot of competition for those tickets, which are randomly selected from those who apply and aren’t transferable. The good news is that tickets are free, at least.
To be in with a chance of attending, it is necessary to enter the lottery, for which you have to apply through Apple’s website. Eligibility is generally restricted to the following groups:
Current members of the Apple Developer Program or Apple Developer Enterprise Program.
Apple Entrepreneur Camp alumni.
Swift Student Challenge winners (who are often included in a separate selection process, with notifications typically sent in May).
The lottery for tickets allocated for 2025 started at the end of March and those interested had to apply by the beginning of April. The lucky applicants were notified of their success in getting a ticket at the beginning of April.
Apple invites developers to participate in a series of classes, workshops, and sessions to learn about the system-wide changes coming to the major software platforms in the coming year so they can update their apps. Some lucky developers even get to watch the event live in person.
You can find out more about how to get tickets to WWDC in our FAQ. Apple will share additional conference information in advance of WWDC26 through the Apple Developer app.
How much does WWDC cost to attend
The format of WWDC has shifted significantly in recent years. While it was once a paid event costing $1,599 with tickets that sold out instantly, the modern conference is primarily an online experience.
Even without a lottery win, all registered developers receive online access to session videos, sample code, and workshops throughout the week
When was WWDC last held
In recent years Apple has held WWDC in early June.
WWDC 2025: June 9-13

8 upgrades to make your old Apple gear feel new again Macworld
We all want the latest Apple device, but it’s just not realistic to upgrade every year–or every two, three, or four years. But no matter how old your Apple device is, it can always be augmented by a high-quality peripheral that adds extra functionality or fixes a problem that Apple hasn’t addressed yet. From protective cases to a color-accurate display, there are plenty of ways you can level up your Apple setup in 2026.
We’ve rounded up a core selection of top product picks that have the potential to change your device. Upgrade your operation with any of these addons, and you’ll notice the difference right away.
iPhone: A more protective case
Let’s start with something simple: an iPhone case. Sure, Apple says its best iPhones are tougher than ever, thanks in part to their second-generation Ceramic Shield protection that wards off scratches and cracks. But in my humble opinion, that’s not enough.
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m so clumsy that I don’t trust Apple’s built-in defenses to stand up to the abuse my iPhones face at the mercy of a butterfingers like me. Instead, I clad my phone in a sturdy case to keep it safe and sound.
An iPhone case can make an older phone feel new.Thomas Bergbold
I’m not a fan of all those angular, brutish cases that look like they stumbled out of a shoot for the next Rambo film. No, I want something that’ll keep things safe without looking obnoxious. For me, Apple’s own Silicone Case with MagSafe fits the bill. It looks sleek, supports MagSafe, and guards against slips and stumbles, too. Plus, the latest version is way less “sticky” than past editions of this case yet provides enough grip in the hand, meaning it’s easier to get out of your pocket and less likely to pick up lint.
Mac: A better mouse
Apple’s Magic Mouse is pretty iconic, and I love that its flat surface doubles up as a trackpad for macOS’s clever gestures. Yet not only is it lacking several key features found in rival mice, but its low-profile design can cause serious discomfort after an extended period of use. That’s no good for anyone who spends a decent amount of time sitting in front of their Mac.
Logitech
Instead, it’s a good idea to look for a much more comfortable mouse that still offers all the features you need. In my case, that’s been the Logitech Pro X Superlight 2. It comes with an ergonomic shape that fits neatly into my hand (and is suitable for most grip types), while it has enough customizable buttons without being overwhelming or cluttered.
But perhaps its best feature is its incredibly low weight. That lets it glide around your mouse mat with ease and minimizes the strain on your hand and wrist, enabling you to use it for hours on end. Compared to Apple’s Magic Mouse, the difference is night and day. For more suggestions, refer to our picks for the best mouse and trackpad.
Mac: A satisfying mechanical keyboard
Alongside a mouse, a keyboard is one of the most important Mac peripherals you can get if you’re interested in comfort and ergonomics. While Apple offers decent keyboards, you can do much better by looking elsewhere. In particular, a mechanical keyboard will give you a much more satisfying typing feel while bringing extra features that Apple doesn’t offer.
Picking from the enormous range of switches, layouts, keycaps, and connectivity options can be overwhelming, but thankfully, we’ve reviewed and rounded up all the best Mac keyboards money can buy to make your choice a little easier.
The Keychron Q6 Max is one of the best keyboards that money can buy.Foundry
My personal favorite is the Keychron Q6 Max, and it was our choice for the best Mac keyboard in 2025. Start using it and our reasoning is clear: every aspect is made to exacting standards and exudes quality, while it’s both quiet and comfortable in use with every key press. It doesn’t come cheap, but it’ll revolutionize your typing experience–ultimately, you’re paying for top-class excellence. If you get one, you’ll never want to go back to Apple’s Magic Keyboard again.
iPhone: Higher fidelity audio
One way that Apple’s devices have a clear advantage over their rivals is in the quality of their speakers. While most competitor devices push out weak, tinny sound, an iPhone, iPad, or Mac will blast you with high-quality audio right from the get-go. But even so, there are definitely times when a good set of speakers or headphones can take things even further.
The Audio Pro C10 MK!! W is an excellent speaker for filling a room.Audio Pro
The Audio Pro C10 MKII W–our pick for the best speaker for sound quality that money can buy–is a great option if you want to elevate your Apple listening experience, whether you’re streaming Apple Music from your iPhone or watching the latest series on Apple TV. A set of over-ear headphones, meanwhile, can increase immersion during movies and gaming sessions by bringing you closer to the action, surrounding you with sound, and shutting out external distractions.
Right now, I’m using the Logitech Pro X 2 Lightspeed headset, which is incredibly comfortable to wear all day and produces excellent audio, whatever I’m doing. Sure, they’re not audiophile grade, but they offer a great balance of price and quality. Find something similar, and you’ll have a much better audio experience.
Mac: A comfortable desk chair
Back in the bad old days, I sat at my desk with a cheap office chair that someone had donated to me. I knew it was no good, but it’s hard to argue with free, right? Well, I wish I had, because the chair was absolutely no good for my posture.
Things completely changed when I purchased a better alternative in the form of the Secret Lab Titan Evo. This chair offers a wide range of support for your back, ensuring you sit comfortably at all times. As well as that, there are plenty of ergonomic adjustments, from the height and angle of the base to the position of the armrests.
A good chair–like this Secret Lab Titan Evo–is often an overlooked investment.Titan Lab
That’s important in allowing you to fine-tune the chair to fit your needs. Regardless of whether you get this particular chair, whichever option you choose should let you adjust its core elements to guarantee an ergonomic outcome. As with anything you spend a lot of time in–from your bed to your shoes–it makes sense to pay a little more for lasting quality. Your body will thank you later.
Mac: A spacious external display
Unless you’ve got a roomy 24-inch iMac, your Mac screen is probably a lot smaller than you’d like. MacBooks top out at 16 inches across, and while that’s fine in some cases, it can quickly make things feel awfully constrained.
In cases like that, I’d recommend getting a sizeable external display to give you more space to play with. My own pick is Dell’s S2721DGF, a 27-inch screen with a 1440p resolution. That’s generally seen as the sweet spot for size and resolution (a 32-inch display with a 4K resolution is another favorite), and its 165Hz refresh rate grants it smooth motion in games and buttery scrolling everywhere else. It won’t be perfect for everyone–photographers will want a more color-accurate display with a higher resolution, for example–but it meets my needs perfectly well.
It also solves the problem of laptop ergonomics. Back when I had that cheap desk chair, I also spent all day hunched over my MacBook, where its low-lying angle meant I had to use it with a painfully curved back. The combination was terrible for my comfort, but that was all eliminated when I combined a brand-new chair with an external monitor for my Mac.
Apple’s Studio Display is a good choice, but you might be able to find comparable displays at lower prices.Foundry
When everything is displayed through a standalone screen, not only does it greatly expand your work area, but it also allows you to put your content at a more comfortable position and adjust it to your needs. That’s a result you can’t underestimate. Check our guide to the best Mac monitors to help you find one that’s right for you.
Mac: A dedicated backup drive
We all know we should back up our Macs as often as possible, but you might feel that getting started is too much of a hassle. In reality, though, Apple makes it easy thanks to Time Machine, and all you need is an external drive to store your backups on.
External drives come in a wide variety of capacities. An SSD is faster, but you can find hard drives at affordable prices.Foundry / Jon Jacobi
Here, the world really is your oyster, and the drive you get depends on how much space you need and what you want to pay. Generally, you’ll want to get an SSD (solid-state drive) rather than an HDD (hard disk drive), as it’ll back up much faster, but an external HDD can offer significant savings.
Whatever you opt for, you’ll be getting peace of mind that your files are safe should the worst happen to your Mac. Combine an external drive and backup app with a cloud backup service and you’ll be well protected against disaster.
Mac: A faster USB-C dock
These days, iPhones, iPads, and Macs prioritize Thunderbolt/USB-C ports over other ports. That’s great if you’ve got lots of USB-C accessories, but not everything connects to your device this way. Worse, many Macs are seriously constrained when it comes to the number of ports available. Rather than giving up on your external devices or settling for an uncomfortably low selection of ports and slots, it’s worth considering getting a USB-C hub or Thunderbolt dock.
A USB-C hub can add a variety of extra ports to your Mac–I have the OWC USB-C Travel Dock E, for example, which has two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB-C port, an HDMI slot, an SD card reader, plus a Gigabit Ethernet connector. It’s just what I need to augment my Mac.
The OWC USB-C Travel Dock E is small but offers a variety of ports.Thomas Bergbold
A Thunderbolt dock, on the other hand, is generally a lot more powerful and comes with a broader selection of ports. While a USB-C hub can be powered by your Mac, a Thunderbolt dock usually needs to be powered from a wall socket. In return, they can often handle more external displays, support higher transfer rates, and charge your Mac faster.
Many USB-C hubs work with mobile devices like the iPhone and iPad as well as the Mac, but be sure to check that both the hub and your peripherals work with your Apple kit before getting started.

Feds Disrupt IoT Botnets Behind Huge DDoS Attacks The U.S. Justice Department joined authorities in Canada and Germany in dismantling the online infrastructure behind four highly disruptive botnets that compromised more than three million hacked Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as routers and web cameras. The feds say the four botnets -- named Aisuru, Kimwolf, JackSkid and Mossad -- are responsible for a series of recent record-smashing distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks capable of knocking nearly any target offline.

Perplexity Can Now Access Your Apple Health Data to Answer Medical Questions AI company Perplexity today introduced Perplexity Health, a suite of connectors that allow Perplexity to access your health data.
Perplexity suggests that the feature is useful for aggregating health data from across different portals, apps, and devices. It is able to track metrics and trends over time across biomarkers, with information shown on a personalized dashboard.
When asked a health-related question, Perplexity Health can answer based on medical records, lab results, and wearable data. With Perplexity Computer (Perplexity's AI agent tool), AI agents can use health information to build personalized fitness plans, nutrition plans, and more. Perplexity Health on Computer is rolling out to Pro and Max users in the U.S. first.
Perplexity says that Perplexity Health draws from "premium medical literature" like clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed journals. Perplexity has established a Perplexity Health Advisory Board with physicians, researchers, and health tech experts who will "pressure-test" product decisions, content quality, and clinical safeguards against evidence-based medicine standards.
Perplexity Health is able to connect to Apple Health, so it can integrate data collected by the Apple Watch and added to the Apple Health app. It also supports Fitbit, Ultrahuman, and Withings, along with electronic health records from more than 1.7 million care providers. Oura and Function integrations are coming soon.
Health data is encrypted, and Perplexity says there are strict access controls and tools to manage or delete information at any time. Health information is not used to train AI models or sold to third parties.
Perplexity is the second AI company to integrate with Apple Health. OpenAI introduced a ChatGPT Health feature with Apple Health support in early 2026.Tags: Apple Health, PerplexityThis article, "" first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums
Hermès Now Sells $1,250+ MagSafe Chargers Wrapped in Calfskin Leather Luxury brand Hermès has a new series of MagSafe-compatible chargers for the iPhone and Apple Watch, with prices that are higher than the cost of an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The $1,250 Paddock Solo Charger is a magnetic charger that works with a single device, while the $1,750 Paddock Duo can charge an Apple Watch and iPhone at the same time. The $1,750 Paddock Yoyo is also a dual charger, but it has a USB-C cable that wraps around the charger for travel purposes.
Hermès also has bundles that pair the chargers with a Grand Paddock or Petit Paddock case, with prices ranging from $3,725 to $5,150.
Each of the charging products has an H logo over the magnetic charging spot for alignment purposes, and they've been "meticulously encased in Swift calfskin" with saddle stitching.
While these chargers cost thousands of dollars, Hermès took a cue from Apple and did not bundle them with a power adapter. Each charger requires a 20W or higher power adapter, but the company does throw in a free 3.3-foot USB-C cable. Apple stopped offering power adapters starting in 2020.
Hermès is a longtime Apple partner, and has designed Apple Watch bands to be sold with the Hermès-branded Apple Watch models since 2015.

ITC Judge Rules Apple Watch Blood Oxygen Workaround Does Not Infringe Masimo Patents Apple's current blood oxygen sensing implementation in the U.S. does not infringe on patents owned by Masimo and Apple will not face a revived import ban, a U.S. International Trade Commission judge said this week (via Reuters).
After Apple was found to have violated Masimo's patents related to blood oxygen sensing, the Apple Watch faced a U.S. import ban that caused Apple to briefly pause sales of the device in December 2023 before Apple earned a temporary stay. Apple disabled blood oxygen sensing in January 2024, and was able to resume selling the Apple Watch without the functionality.
In August 2025, Apple found a workaround and was able to bring blood oxygen sensing back to U.S. Apple Watch owners. Data is collected by the blood oxygen sensor on the Apple Watch, but it is processed on a paired iPhone rather than the watch itself, and the resulting information can only be viewed on the iPhone. Apple said the updated process did not violate the ITC ban, or infringe on Masimo's patents, and it was cleared by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Masimo did not agree with the decision and it quickly filed a lawsuit against CBP, accusing the agency of acting unlawfully and exceeding its authority. Masimo also pushed the ITC to look into whether Apple's solution violated the original import ban.
The ITC ended up siding with Apple, and said that Apple's workaround does not violate Masimo patents. Since today's decision is preliminary, the full commission will need to affirm the ruling.
Though Apple scored a win with the ITC, Masimo came out ahead in a separate appeals ruling today. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed the original 2023 ITC decision that led to the Apple Watch import ban. The appeals court said that the Apple Watch did indeed infringe on Masimo's patents, and it declined to overturn the ban.
Apple said that it would continue to investigate "all avenues for further review" in light of the appeals court decision.
In November 2025, Apple also lost the patent infringement lawsuit that Masimo filed against it. A federal jury awarded Masimo $634 million, which Apple is appealing.Related Roundup: Apple Watch 11Tags: Apple Lawsuits, Masimo, Patent LawsuitsBuyer's Guide: Apple Watch (Neutral)This article, "" first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums

Google finally bringing Gemini app to Mac after Apple partnership As everyone waits for the new Apple Foundation Models trained by Gemini, Google is pushing ahead on bringing a native Gemini app to the Mac. Google Working on Native Gemini AI App for Mac to Rival ChatGPT and Claude Google is developing a native Gemini app for the Mac, reports Bloomberg. Right now, Mac users who want to use Google's Gemini AI have to use a web browser, but that will change with a dedicated Mac app.
Google competitors like Anthropic and OpenAI have dedicated Mac apps for their chatbots, potentially making Claude and ChatGPT more convenient to use than Gemini.
Google shared an early version of the Gemini app with beta testers this week to get feedback, but it's not clear when it might launch. Google has not provided release date information for the Gemini Mac app, and testers were told that the app only has "critical features," suggesting there's more to come before release. The app apparently looks similar to the Gemini apps designed for iPhone and iPad.
The app is able to search the web, analyze uploaded documents, and maintain a conversation history. Google is asking users to test content generation tools for images, tables and charts, video, music, and more, plus provide feedback on mathematical questions and information analysis.
Gemini for Mac will be able to integrate with other Mac apps through a Desktop Intelligence feature, mirroring functionality available with tools like Claude Cowork. Gemini will be able to read the Mac's display, using the content to personalize Gemini and allow the AI to complete tasks.
Bloomberg says the Mac Gemini app includes wording about how Desktop Intelligence works. "When you enable apps for Desktop Intelligence you are enabling Gemini to see what you see (such as screen context) and pull content directly from these apps to improve and personalize your experience only when Gemini is in use," reads app code.
With iOS 27 and macOS 27, Apple plans to introduce its own Siri chatbot that will rival Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT. Analyst: Foldable iPhone Likely to Ship in December, iPhone 18 Plus is Possible Next Year In a research note for investment bank Barclays earlier this month, Apple analyst Tim Long said his supply chain sources mentioned the possibility of the iPhone 18 base model being announced in March next year, rather than in September this year. This split launch has been widely rumored by multiple sources in recent months.
More interestingly, Long dropped two unique pieces of information.
First, he said shipments of the rumored foldable iPhone will likely begin in December this year, a few months after the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max launch in the usual September timeframe. A similar situation occurred in 2017, with the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus launching in September, and the iPhone X launching in November.
Second, Long said that Apple plans to release two other devices alongside the iPhone 18 base model in March next year, including a lower-end iPhone 18e and either an iPhone 18 Plus or an iPhone Air 2. Long mentioning the possibility of an iPhone 18 Plus is notable, as we have not heard any other rumors about such a device.
It is unclear if Long mentioning the possibility of an iPhone 18 Plus is simply spitballing, or if it is information that he received from his supply chain contacts. There have been multiple reports about a revamped iPhone Air being in the works for next year, so an iPhone 18 Plus seems quite unlikely for now, but we shall see what happens.
Apple does not break down its iPhone sales on a model-by-model basis, but various reports and research firms have indicated that both the Plus and Air have been unpopular relative to other iPhone models over the years. The return of a Plus model does not seem entirely out of the realm of possibility, if the Air has sold even worse than the Plus, and there is still a chance that the Air model was a one-off release. But, if an iPhone 18 Plus was truly coming next March, we probably would have heard more rumors about it by now.
This is the first time we have heard these claims, so treat them with some skepticism for now.Related Roundups: iPhone 18, iPhone Air, iPhone FoldTags: Barclays, Foldable iPhone, Tim LongBuyer's Guide: iPhone Air (Buy Now)Related Forum: iPhoneThis article, "" first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums

Apple Urges iPhone Users Running Outdated iOS Versions to Update Immediately Apple today urged iPhone users who are running iOS 13 or iOS 14 to upgrade to iOS 15 to protect themselves from being hacked through malicious web content.
In a support document, Apple highlights recent reports about hacking tools that are effective against older versions of iOS. Hackers are using iOS exploit kits known as "Coruna" and "DarkSword," which can take advantage of vulnerabilities in iOS 13 through iOS 17.2.1.
"If your iPhone doesn't have the latest software, update iOS to protect your data," Apple says.
Apple has patched the vulnerabilities as they have come to light over the last several months, so users who have already upgraded to the newest version of iOS available for their iPhone are protected from the malicious websites and links that are circulating right now. Users running updated versions of iOS 15 through iOS 26 are safe.
Apple released new iOS 15 and iOS 16 updates on March 11 to address the security issue, and Apple says that devices still on iOS 13 or iOS 14 need to upgrade to iOS 15 for protection from the hacking tool. iPhone users running an outdated version of iOS will get an additional alert to install a Critical Security Update in the next few days.
All iPhones with iOS 13 or iOS 14 can be upgraded to iOS 15, and there are no iPhones that have those two older updates as a final software version.
Apple also protects users via the Apple Safe Browsing feature in Safari, which is turned on by default. It blocks the malicious URL domains that have been identified in the attacks.
Users who are unable to update their devices can alternatively turn on Lockdown Mode, which will offer protection from the attacks on out-of-date software. Lockdown Mode is available in iOS 16 or later, and it works by blocking hacking vectors like images in Messages and malicious websites.
Lockdown Mode is designed for people who are at risk of a state sponsored attack, and it is not for the everyday iOS user. There is no evidence so far that the hacking tools have been used to target people in the U.S., but they have been used in Ukraine, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Malaysia, and they are effective against anyone running an out-of-date older version of iOS.This article, "" first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums

DarkSword malware targets iPhones that haven’t been updated yet Macworld
The Google Threat Intelligence Group has posted a report about malware that uses six different security vulnerabilities to attack an iPhone. According to the report, a toolkit called DarkSword has been used to create three malware families called Ghostblade, Ghostknife, and Ghostsaber, and iPhones running iOS 18.4 to 18.7 are vulnerable.
All of the security holes used by the DarkSword malware have been fixed as of iOS 26.3 (the current version is iOS 26.3.1); most of them were fixed before 26.3. The latest version of iOS is 18.7.6, released on March 4. GTIG notes that the threat actors using DarkSword targeted users in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
DarkSword creates malware that uses JavaScript, and the attacker doesn’t need access to your device. Rather, a threat agent embeds the code within a website. When the user visits the website, the JavaScript executes and installs malware on the iPhone that can gather the user’s personal data, record audio, or check GS data for the current location. The information is then uploaded to a remote server.
The exploits used by DarkSword were recorded in the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures database as the following:
CVE-2025-14174: Fixed in iOS 18.7.3 and 26.2
CVE-2025-31277: Fixed in iOS 18.6
CVE-2025-43510: Fixed in iOS 18.7.2 and 26.1
CVE-2025-43520: Fixed in iOS 18.7.2 and 26.1
CVE-2025-43529: Fixed in iOS 18.7.3 and 26.2
CVE-2026-20700: Fixed in iOS 26.3
iPhone viruses and malware are rare, but no device is completely invulnerable. Vivaldi 7.9 for Desktop Adds Auto-Hide UI for Distraction-Free Browsing Vivaldi this week released version 7.9 of its desktop browser, which includes a new UI Auto-hide feature that clears the entire browser interface from view while you read, watch, or work.
When enabled, UI Auto-hide removes the tab bar, address bar, toolbars, and status indicators from the screen entirely, and moving the cursor to any edge of the window brings everything back instantly.
The feature can be configured to hide only specific elements like the tab bar, the address bar, or the full set of chrome all at once. UI Auto-hide can be toggled via the keyboard shortcut Command-F10, or through a new icon in the status bar. All available options live under Settings ➝ Appearance ➝ UI Auto-hide.
This update also introduces Follower Tab, which is designed to let users explore links without losing their place on the current page.
Right-clicking a link gives you the option to open it as a tiled Follower Tab, which loads the linked page side by side with the original. Subsequent links clicked in the original tab continue opening in the follower pane, while the source page stays pinned in place.
Vivaldi's built-in email client also gains several improvements in the v7.9. The mail composer can now be popped out into its own independent window, making it easier to draft messages alongside the inbox or on a second monitor.
Meanwhile, a new toggle lets you switch between rich text and plain text within the composer. Vivaldi says memory usage in the mail list has also been reduced, which should help performance on larger inboxes. Mailing list reply routing has apparently been improved as well, and users can now save selected messages directly to disk.
Vivaldi 7.9 is a free download for Mac, Windows, and Linux from the Vivaldi website. As with previous versions, the browser ships with built-in ad and tracker blocking, extensive tab management tools, and support for Chrome extensions.Tag: VivaldiThis article, "" first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums

Masimo wins hollow victory over Apple Watch's blood oxygen sensors A US appeals court has found in favor of Masimo in its fight against Apple over pulse oximetry patents, but in the court that matters, a ruling makes it clear that there won't be another ban on the Apple Watch. The dispute concerns the blood pulse oximeter in the Apple WatchIn the now six year-long legal battle between medical technology firm Masimo and Apple, this particular appeal concerns a ruling by the International Trade Commission (ITC). macOS 26 Tahoe Beta: Latest beta and how to get it Macworld
Every year, Apple updates the Mac operating system. The current version of macOS is macOS 26, and Apple runs a beta program, which means developers and registered public testers can try out new features before they are released to the general public later in the year.
The beta process doesn’t stop with the full release of macOS in the fall. After macOS 26 Tahoe arrived on Macs in September 2025, development continued with new features rolled out every couple of months.
In this article, we’ll explain what you need to do to get your hands on a copy of the new beta of macOS 26, how to install it, and what you should bear in mind if you want to avoid problems. (If you would prefer to use the latest official release of macOS, here’s how to update macOS on your Mac.)
Update March 18, 2026: Apple released the macOS 26.4 Release Candidate.
macOS beta: Latest version
The most recent version of the macOS 26 Tahoe developer beta is version 26.4. It was released on February 16, 2026.
Following WWDC 2025 on June 9, the macOS 26 developer beta is now available to download for those signed up to the program. The “macOS 26” name is part of a coherent annual naming system along with iOS 26 and iPadOS 26.
Foundry
macOS beta: Next beta update
New betas tend to arrive every one to two weeks, and more frequently as the full release data approaches.
The beta testing program will continue to run after the new macOS 26 software launches in September or October 2025, with Apple continuing to roll out new features.
How to get the macOS beta
To get the developer version of the macOS 26 beta, you need to be running macOS Sequoia and be registered for Apple’s developer program, either having paid $99/£79 to enroll in Apple’s Developer program (here) or with a free developer account (follow the instructions below for how to register for that).
Alternatively, if it’s the public beta you are after, you just need to sign up for the Public Beta program on Apple’s beta webpage, sign the NDA, and enroll your Mac. Details of how to do that are below.
As long as you are a registered developer or enrolled in the public beta program, when the relevant macOS Beta becomes available, it will also show up on your Mac.
Before you download the beta, a few warnings:
We strongly advise that if you aren’t a developer, you don’t download the developer beta.
We also strongly recommend that you back up your Mac before you upgrade to the macOS beta.
We recommend that you do not run the macOS beta on your primary Mac; ideally, run it in a separate volume. This should minimize any risks to you.
How to get a free Apple developer account
If you just want a free Apple Developer account so you can access the beta, you can get this via Xcode or the Apple Developer app in iOS. Here’s how to do it via the Apple Developer app on an iPhone:
Get the Apple Developer App from the App Store.
Open the app on your iPhone.
Tap on Account.
Tap on Sign In.
Sign in using your usual Apple ID.
If you wish to actually publish applications to the App Store or receive support, you’ll need to pay $99/£79 per year for a paid account. You can compare the free and paid accounts here.
How to register for the macOS public beta
The macOS public beta is accessible to anyone with a valid Apple ID.
To register, go to the Apple Beta Software Program page.
Select the “Sign Up” option.
Sign in using your Apple ID.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the registration process.
Enrol the Mac you wish to run the beta on via this Apple page.
How to download macOS beta
Open Software Updates on your Mac. (System Settings > General > Software Updates.)
You should see two options: Automatic Updates and Beta Updates. Click on the (i) beside Beta Updates.
You can now turn on Beta Updates (if they weren’t already on).
Choose the beta you want to download: public or developer.
If your account is tied to a different Apple ID than your usual one, you can change that here.
Click Done.
Now your Mac will check for updates and eventually show the latest macOS Beta as an upgrade. Click on Upgrade Now.
Foundry
Do I need the macOS Beta Access Utility?
Only if you are running macOS Ventura 13.3 or earlier.
Apple changed the way it delivers betas in Ventura 13.4. If you aren’t yet running that version of macOS you will need to download the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility or macOS Public Beta Access Utility in order to download betas.
If you were already running an earlier macOS Public Beta you’ll find the new macOS beta as an upgrade via Software Update. Just click on Upgrade Now. You may have to update to the latest version of your current beta before you can do so, if not follow the steps below to get the beta access utility.
If you are enrolled in the Developer Program, go to Apple’s beta download page. Click on Install Profile to download the new macOS Developer Beta Access Utility to your Mac.
If you are enrolled as a public beta tester, download the macOS Public Beta Access Utility.
Go to Downloads on your Mac and click on the macOS Beta Access Utility to open it.
Double-click on the dmg file and the installer will run.
Once the new macOS beta is installed Software Update will check to see if there are any updates. Click Update and the latest version will download.
You’ll see a prompt to install the latest macOS beta, click on Continue.
Agree to the Ts&Cs (more on them below).
Click Install.
Once you are running the beta, the updates will come through to your Mac automatically; you just need to click to install.
You will receive a notification when the next update to the beta is available.
Updates will be available via Software Update (in System Settings/System Preferences)
FAQ
1.
Who can run the macOS beta?
Anyone can run the macOS beta, but to do so, you do need to register for either the developer beta, the pubic beta, or both.
Apple offers both developer and public beta programs for macOS, enabling all interested users to test pre-release versions of the operating system. While both betas provide early access to new features, they cater to different user profiles based on technical expertise and risk tolerance. Beta software tends to be buggy so the more stable public beta version may be preferable, but even that will not be bug-free.
In the past, the developer beta was only available to developers who had paid to join Apple’s Developer Program (which costs $99/£79). However, for a couple of years now, Apple has opened up the developer beta to registered developers with free developer accounts. We explain how to get a free developer account below.
If you decide you no longer want to run the beta version of macOS read this: How to remove the macOS beta.
2.
macOS public beta vs developer beta
Since 2023, the Developer Beta has been available to anyone who registers as a developer, even if they aren’t a paid-up member of Apple’s Developer Program. As a result, people with a basic free developer account can download the new macOS developer beta (we show you how to register below).
Whether you should download the developer beta if you aren’t a developer is another question. We don’t recommend you install the developer beta if you aren’t a developer. Instead, our recommendation is to use the public beta (the first version of which usually arrives in July).
There are a few differences between the public and developer betas. The public beta is not the same as the beta that is released through the developer program. The public beta typically launches after the developer beta has undergone initial testing and refinement
Developers get updates to their beta first, and possibly more frequently. But you should keep in mind that betas are by nature not stable, and because the public beta comes after the developer beta it could be a little safer to install.
The most significant difference is probably the motive of the testers: Developers usually have the aim of ensuring their apps work when the updated macOS is released to the general public, while public beta testers are essentially helping Apple detect bugs and offering feedback on the features. Because of this, developers may get to test new features not available in the public beta.
If you want to get the public beta the first thing you need to do, if you haven’t already, is join Apple’s beta programs read this for more information: How to become an Apple beta tester.
3.
Is the macOS beta stable?
By its nature, a beta has the potential to be unstable. Therefore, it’s not advised that you install it on a Mac that you rely on. If you have a second Mac that isn’t mission-critical, then install it there. We strongly recommend that you don’t risk all by putting the macOS beta on your primary macOS, especially not in the early days of the beta development.
If you don’t have a second Mac, there are a couple of ways you could run macOS beta on your Mac without running the risk of losing data or finding your Mac stops working:
We recommend installing it on a partition, which these days is really a volume (and is much easier to create than a partition was). Read about how to do that here: How to dual-boot Mac: Run two versions of macOS on a Mac.
Alternatively, you could install the macOS beta on an external drive and run it on that.
We discuss the safety of the macOS beta and the risks you might be taking in more detail in a separate article.
If the stability of the beta worries you, then you are probably better off waiting until the final version is out, or at least waiting until testing has been happening for a few months before getting the beta.
4.
How to prepare your Mac for the beta
Update your software: We recommend you have the latest full version of macOS installed, although Apple says that the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility requires macOS 10.8 or later.
Make space: We’d recommend at least 15GB of available space because the macOS betas tend to be very large. If you end up requiring more space, read: How to free up space on Mac. Note that we always recommend that you have at least 10% space free on your Mac at any time, so if you don’t have that, expect problems!
Back up: Before you install a beta on your Mac, you should make a backup of your data and files. You can find out how to use Time Machine to back up your Mac. We also have a round-up of suitable backup solutions.
5.
How to send feedback to Apple
Should you come across an error or a bug, you should use the Feedback Assistant app to provide feedback to Apple. Launch the app and follow the appropriate steps, selecting the area about which you’re providing feedback and then any specific sub-area. Then describe your issue in a single sentence, before providing a more detailed description, including any specific steps that reproduce the issue. You’ll also be able to attach other files.
You’ll also have to give permission for the Feedback Assistant app to collect diagnostic information from your Mac.
It won’t always be obvious whether something is a bug or just not as easy to use as you might have hoped. Either way, if your feedback is that something appears to work in an illogical way, Apple will want to know that.
If you are having trouble with a third-party app, you can let Apple know by reporting it through the 3rd-party Application Compatibility category in the Feedback Assistant. However, we’d suggest that you also provide feedback to the app’s developer, who will no doubt be grateful.
6.
Will I be able to update from macOS beta to the final version?
Beta users will be able to install the final build of the OS on release day without needing to reformat or reinstall.
7.
Can I talk about the beta publicly?
According to Apple and the license agreement all beta testers must agree to, the beta is “Apple confidential information”. By accepting those terms, you agree not to discuss your use of the software with anyone who isn’t also in the Beta Software Program. That means you can’t “blog, post screenshots, tweet, or publicly post information about the public beta software.”
However, you can discuss any information that Apple has publicly disclosed; the company says that information is no longer considered confidential.
8.
How to downgrade from the macOS beta
You can always revert to an earlier version of macOS, though depending on how you back up, it’s not necessarily a painless process.
Start by making sure the data on your drive is backed up, then erase the drive and install the latest public version of macOS. When you first start up your Mac, you can use the Migration Assistant to import your data from the backup. Here’s a more detailed tutorial on downgrading from the macOS beta and we also have a tutorial on downgrading to an older version of the Mac OS.

The iPhone 17e proves MagSafe charging speeds don’t matter Macworld
I didn’t have high expectations when I started testing Apple’s new iPhone 17e. Last year’s iPhone 16e struck me as a lopsided mess, and this year’s replacement seems to have many of the same issues: a faster processor and more RAM than is really necessary at this price point, and too many compromises in other areas. But at least one of those compromises is now worrying me a lot less.
One of the main shortcomings of the 16e was the fact that it didn’t have MagSafe at all, and I continue to regard that as a huge pain in the butt. The 17e, fans were relieved to discover when it was unveiled earlier this month, does have MagSafe… but the sting in the tail came when we learned that it’s a slower, older version of the technology, which is capped at 15W rather than the latest 25W. Here we go again, I thought: another e-class annoyance.
Why this makes a difference
To see what effect that has on real-world charging speeds, I completely drained the batteries of both my iPhone 17e review unit and the trusty iPhone 17 I’ve had since September. Then one by one, I placed them on an official Apple MagSafe charging puck, paired with a 67W power adapter to ensure no bottlenecks at that end, and timed how long it took to fill them up again. I won’t sugarcoat it: there was a substantial difference, and the 17 came out on top.

Hands-on: This iPhone case adds a rear touchscreen for selfies and expandable storage [Video] I love cases and accessories that look great but also serve multiple functions. Whether it’s a case with a built-in kick stand or a MagSafe battery that doubles as a charger for multiple devices, I am always looking for gear that solves more than one problem. So when I saw the new Selfix case i knew I had to try it out because of just how much it can do. It is a case and storage expander that adds a display on the rear, which acts as a viewfinder when taking selfies with the main camera. Here is what you should know about it.

iOS 26 made one of iPhone’s wildest, most unique features a lot better Did you know that your iPhone can replicate your voice, letting you enter text prompts that are spoken aloud in a voice that sounds eerily like you? The feature is called Personal Voice, and in iOS 26 it got a lot better.

500 users hit “forgot password” in 3 weeks. I blamed them and I was wrong. We had a meeting like a real, calendar-invite, three-people-on-a-call meeting where we discussed whether our users were less tech-savvy than average. We looked at the data, nodded at each other, and concluded that maybe our product just attracted people who forgot passwords a lot. And I swear that meeting still haunts me. 500 forgot password […]
