HEURIS Releases MPEG Export Engine-Pro(tm)
New QuickTime( export component delivers
QuickTime to DVD-ready MPEG-2 transcoding.
St. Louis, MO, October 1,1998 -- HEURIS, makers of the most widely used professional MPEG encoder, today announced the release of their MPEG Export Engine-Pro(. This new QuickTime export component makes it easy to go from a QuickTime file to a DVD-ready MPEG-2 stream. The MPEG Export Engine-Pro allows users of Apple's QuickTime 3 Pro MoviePlayer( or Media Cleaner Pro( 3.1, who also own MPEG Power Professional(, to control HEURIS' award-winning MPEG encoding engine - without having to open MPEG Power Professional. All MPEG Power Professional standard and custom encoding templates, and a number of encoding options, are available through the MPEG Export Engine-Pro. This integrated MPEG encoding functionality is also available in any application that supports QuickTime export components.
The HEURIS MPEG Export Engine-Pro will be offered free of charge to all users of HEURIS' MPEG Power Professional line of products. The HEURIS MPEG Export Engine-Pro QuickTime export component is now bundled with all copies of MPEG Power Professional, MPEG Power Professional-2( and MPEG Power Professional-DVD(. It is also available to current owners of MPEG Power Professional products for download from HEURIS' FTP site free of charge.

HEURIS' MPEG Export Engine-Pro makes converting QuickTime files into DVD-ready MPEG-2 streams a simple process for QuickTime 3 Pro MoviePlayer users. They simply select File ) Export from the main menu and then select "Movie to HEURIS MPEG Pro" on the "Export File As:" dialog. A range of encoding options and templates are available by pressing the "Options" button.
