What is MacZoop?
MacZoop is a C++ application framework for writing Macintosh
applications. Unlike frameworks such as TCL, Powerplant and MacApp, it’s
very small, and lacks some features of those frameworks. However, it is
very usable and ideal for beginners and smaller projects.

Innovative pro-quality audio editing software adds new QuickTime features
and a host of minor improvements
SAN DIEGO- March 14, 1997 – Allegiant Technologies, Inc. today announced
the first update to SoundMaker, its full-featured sound editor for easily
creating, editing and enhancing digital audio files.

As you may already know, Apple made an announcement today regarding its
restructuring plans. While the full details are available in the press
release, I wanted to make sure that you were aware of the changes and how
they will impact Developer Relations.
Earlier this year, Gil Amelio promised to simplify Apple’s product lines
and to resolve some of Apple’s fragmentation issues. As part of the
restructuring, Apple’s once-scattered marketing organizations have been
united into a single organization under the leadership of Guerrino De
Luca.

BeOS PREVIEW RELEASE PORTING LAB

Be Developer services is working on setting up a Preview Release porting
lab to help port applications to the Preview Release as quickly as
possible. Applications written for DR8 will not be binary-compatible with
the DR9 release, thus developers will need to recompile their code and make
some modifications in order to take advantage of new functionality.
