Iomega, makers of the popular Zip-drive, Iomega has lost their fourth president in as many years, reports SiliconValley.com. Bruce Albertson, chief executive and president of Iomega Corp. resigned Monday, amid “differences” between his and the board of directors’ goals for the computer hardware maker.

Motorola debuted a new PowerPC chip at the Smart Networks Developers Forum in New Orleans yesterday. The PowerPC 7440 is a lower-power version of the company’s 7450 chip used in Macs, and is designed specifically for smaller networking devices. The PowerPC 7740 is expected to ship later this year in 600MHz and 700MHz flavors.

The Business Software Alliance, whose members include Adobe and Microsoft, released a report yesterday stating that 37 percent of software programs used by businesses around the world are pirated. CNN has the report from AP.
