Apple has posted MySQL 3.23.32 Update for Mac OS X Server 10.0.3. Details on the update are currently unavailable.

Seek Systems today announced that its FasFile RAID is now compatible with the Mac OS, including Mac OS X. FasFile is an enterprise RAID storage solution for networks. It also provide compatibility with Windows NT/2000, Linux, and Unix.

While neglecting to mention Apple, a ZDNet article discusses the current state of the PC industry, concluding that a rebound in sales is unlikely. The article cites the fact that PCs from a year or two ago, and even today’s slowest models, are more than adequate for the vast majority of users, significantly reducing the number of prospective customers who would be upgrading.

Songistix has begun shipping an adapter that converts its Monsoon iM-700 speaker system’s 1/8-inch jack to a USB audio device, according to MacCentral. Monsoon’s site has not yet been updated to reflect the change. It’s unclear at this point whether the adapter will be bundled with systems from now on, or available on its own (pricing has not been set). The iM-700s carry a US$169.99 price tag, although they are typically available for significantly less through resellers.
