Apple CEO Steve Jobs turns 55 today

Steve Jobs turns 55 today. Here’s wishing our favorite CEO a happy birthday. He co-founded Apple in 1976.

Jobs also co-founded and was the CEO of Pixar Animation Studios, which created such classic animated films as “Toy Story,” “A Bug’s Life,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “Finding Nemo,” “The Incredibles,” “Cars” and “Ratatouille.” Pixar merged with The Walt Disney Company in 2006 and Jobs now serves on Disney’s board of directors.

According to his official bio, Jobs grew up in the apricot orchards, which later became known as Silicon Valley. He still lives there with his family.

Native Instruments has introduced Scarbee Vintage Keys (http://www.native-instruments.com/Scarbeevintagekeys.info), a set of software instruments that provide renditions of the legendary electric pianos, for use in Kontakt 4 and the free Kontakt Player.

Based on the Scarbee sample libraries, Scarbee Vintage Keys gives musicians and producers of all genres a way to integrate the sounds of these classic keyboards into their music. It features electric pianos of the 60s and 70s, dubbed Mark I, A-200, Clavinet and Pianet, all based on 24-bit sample material.
