Pink Floyd sues record label in case involving sales of online music

Rock band Pink Floyd has launched a High Court action in the UK against the EMI record label, involving music sold at the iTunes Store.

The case concerns how online royalties are to be calculated. Robert Howe, speaking for Pink Floyd, told “The Telegraph” (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/music-news/7405491/Pink-Floyd-take-on-EMI-in-court-battle-over-royalties.html) that it also involves EMI’s ”entitlement to sell individual tracks, or indeed any tracks, otherwise than in the original configuration of the Pink Floyd albums.”

TextExpander 3.0 for Mac OS X offers new snippet creation/editing features

SmileOnMyMac (http://www.smileonmymac.com) has updated TextExpander, a Mac OS X utility that lets users define abbreviations for frequently-used text strings and images, to version 3.0 The new version introduces features to make it easier to create and edit snippets.

Users can define a keyboard combination, also known as a hotkey, to open a quick entry window for snippet creation. The last-expanded snippet can also be edited via a hotkey, making it easier to keep snippet content updated.
