Dolby brings surround sound voice chat to Macs, online console games

At this year’s Game Developers Conference® (Booth BS506, Moscone South), Dolby Laboratories has announced new tools that will soon make it possible for gamers to enjoy Dolby Axon surround voice chat on more of their favorite gaming platforms — including the Mac.

Dolby unveiled new software developer kit (SDK) ports that enable game developers to integrate the Dolby Axon surround voice technology to Mac OS X, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360versions of multiplayer online game titles. General availability of these ports is planned for April.

Strategy Analytics: iPhone owners most likely to repeat purchase

iPhone owners are not only most satisfied with their phones, they are most likely to buy their next phone from Apple, as well, according to a recent study from Strategy Analytics (http://www.strategyanalytics.com), which found a strong correlation between satisfaction and repeat purchase intentions.

Barnes & Noble (http://www.barnesandnoble.com) says it will soon be adding a new B&N eReader for the iPad.
 
Designed specifically for the Apple device, the B&N eReader will give customers access to more than one million eBooks, magazines and newspapers in the Barnes & Noble eBookstore, as well as the existing content in their Barnes & Noble digital library.
