Here are some of the latest software announcements.

° OK By Us has announced Buzzer Party the for iPhone and iPad, on pre-order now and out on Saturday, October 31. It turns every iPhone and iPad in the room into a game-show buzzer. The app has no questions of its own: the host brings them, and Buzzer Party handles the buzzers, the clock and the scores.

Up to sixteen players join with one tap, with no accounts and no internet connection. Buzzer Party requires iOS 16 or later. It’s free to download and to join a game, and hosting a game across several phones is a one-time purchase of $4.99 until December 31, then $7.99.

° CineMon 2.0 is now available for the iPad and Mac, adding live audio mixing and integrated recording to the professional monitoring app. Crews can compare pictures and monitor audio in the same workspace used to capture takes, with slate information and timecode carried into the edit.

° Empirical Health has launched support for iPhone Duo, with an experience designed to preserve continuity as the phone unfolds. The expanded layout brings cardiovascular results alongside Heart Age and restaurant maps alongside healthy meal choices, helping people explore related information without repeatedly switching screens.

° Philip Seifi has released Zonometry, a free iPhone app to make checking your training quick, easy and fun. It turns the workouts already in Apple Health into a little running track. Open it and see your balance of easy, moderate and hard effort at a glance, then get on with your day. You can switch between whole-session effort and heart-rate minutes. No account, subscription or in-app purchases.

° Hao Peiqiang has updated PDF Extractor for the iPhone, iPad and Mac to version 1.02. It converts PDF text and illustrations into Word (DOCX), HTML, Markdown and RTF locally, with on-device OCR when needed, visible progress and a preview before export. The app is free to download; document export covers the first 3 PDF pages in the free tier. A one-time Pro unlock removes that export limit.

° Solitaire 1380 has been updated for the iPhone Duo. It has 1,443 distinct games, with lessons, rules or game history alongside the card table on Duo. Larger labeled controls adapt as the device folds or rotates. You can choose three favorites free; one optional permanent collection unlock, with no ads or subscription.

° Codefarmer’s Threadbreaker — a precision bullet-hell roguelite built around 42-room Revisions, 12 Breakers and recorded runs to study in Loom Theater — has been updated for the iPhone Duo. The arena, menus and controls adapt to the available Duo space; display changes pause an active run so the player can settle their grip and resume.

Players can keep chasing a remaining rare item, clear the board for a bonus, or refresh it using in-game resources. They arrange and combine their equipment, then enter an expedition with automatic attacks and manually timed skills.
