Since becoming CEO, John Ternus has immersed himself in the industrial design and human interface teams, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his latest “Power On” newsletter (a subscription is required for reading it).

Several people familiar with the department say he works hands-on in the studio several times a week, sometimes visiting multiple times in a single day. This is a big contrast to former CEO Tim Cook, who only visited the studio about once a month, Gurman said.

He added that there’s no search is underway for a Jony Ive replacement. Instead, Apple . Instead, the company has highlighted Molly Anderson and Steve Lemay as respective design leads for industrial design and human interface. Ternus himself will be the final decision maker for design, Gurman said.
