Evercore ISI told investors in a note that its latest consumer survey points to a stronger-than-expected iPhone upgrade cycle for Apple, with pricing set to provide a sizable tailwind, reports Investing.com.

The firm’s annual survey of nearly 4,000 consumers is said to have pointed to a “better-than-expected iPhone refresh cycle,” led by the newest models. Sixty-even percent said the age of their current smartphone was the main reason for upgrading. identified their existing iPhone’s age as the main reason to upgrade.

Evercore’s report said the purchase preferences also suggest that buyers are still willing to spend more on Apple’s higher-end devices. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Pro Max together attracted 53% of prospective buyers with 32% choosing the Pro Max.

Fourteen percent of the respondents showed interest in the iPhone Duo. Evercore thinks that number will rise as the date for the foldable’s launch (mid-October launch) nears.
