As noted by MacRumors, alongside iOS 17.1.1, Apple released HomePod 17.1.1 software to fix a bug that could cause some ‌HomePod‌ speakers to respond slowly or fail to complete requests.

Your HomePod and HomePod mini should automatically update. If not:

  • Make sure that your iOS device is updated to the latest version of iOS.
  • On your iOS device, open the Home app and tap  the house icon in the upper-left corner.
  • Tap Software Update.
  • Tap Install. This will install the update on all of your HomePod speakers you have set up in your home.

MacRumors also reports that Apple also released new firmware for the Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro earbuds. The Beats Fit Pro and ‌Powerbeats Pro‌ can now be updated to firmware version 6B27, up from the prior 5B66 firmware that came out in May.
