Savant (www.savant.com), which specializes in smart home technology, has introduced a high-fidelity smart audio amplifier that will support Apple’s AirPlay 2 and HomeKit.
It’s part of the company’s new Smart Series family, which offers music streaming services, 24 bit 96k high-resolution playback with low latency and 125 watts per channel out of the box. The Savant SmartAmp features an onboard DSP engine that’s been optimized for all Savant loudspeakers, including Savant’s small aperture PoE speakers.
The DSP also supports an EQ that the company says enables precise fine audio tuning. The standalone Savant Music app provides setup and customization of shortcuts to their favorite music and artists. The Savant SmartAmp will be available this summer at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $699.
